Amyris Essential Oil ($15.99) can be used to clean and promotes rest. It smells woody and it’s rather thick, expect it to take a while to come out of the bottle.

Energy Essential Oil Blend ($13.99) We received two blends this month! Energy is a mix of lemon, eucalyptus, and peppermint and of course it smells energizing!

Lemongrass Essential Oil ($10.99) While I love the scent of lemons, I’m finding that I’m not that into lemongrass, although it smells good when I take a sniff from the bottle. It deodorizes and can be used to keep bugs away.

Unicorn Essential Oil Blend ($13.99) Here is our second blend, and what a pretty name it has. It’s a combo of pink grapefruit, sweet orange, lemon, and jasmine. It’s a beautiful citrus floral that is supposed to calm emotions.

We always receive extras to help complete the recipes (although you may have to purchase or check your home for some ingredients or storage containers). This month we received Glycerin Melt & Pour Soap ($2.99), Foaming Hand Soap Tablet ($1.49 each), and a Round Soap Mold ($1.99). We will also need extras from the Big Bonus Box, which comes with your first shipment and then every six months as long as you are still a subscriber.

I appreciate the sheet of Pre-Scored Stickers to place on my finished products.

Each month we receive six new recipes to add to our collection.

Some of the recipes continue on the back of the card, while others have important info about the subscription.

Below are some of the projects I completed using this month’s recipes and extras!

I am loving this month’s diffuser recipe! It uses all of the oils that I received, and the lemongrass is nicely balanced in this blend.

The Lovely Night Roll-On required a rollerball bottle and coconut oil from my Big Bonus Box. I dropped in the essential oils as listed on the recipe card, topped with coconut oil, placed the rollerball on top, and gave it a good shake. It smells sweet and woody with a pop of peppermint.

I was so impressed with the Sweet Lemon Oatmeal Soap, and how easy it was to make, that I plan on getting more melt-and-pour soap base to make bar soaps for my kitchen!

I melted the soap cubes in the microwave and it didn’t take long at all, put it on for 15 seconds and then check, mine took maybe 20 seconds total to melt. Stir in the essential oils and oatmeal, if it starts to set up just pop it back in the microwave for 5 seconds or so, then pour into the mold that was included. I added a pinch of mica powder from a previous box for color. The lemongrass is the only scent I can pickup when I wash my hands with this lightly exfoliating soap. So easy, so impressive, I can’t wait to make new scent combos like cinnamon and orange, rosemary and mint, and patchouli.

The Healing Hands Solid Lotion Bar was yet another super simple recipe.

I melted the almond oil and beeswax (from my Big Bonus Box) and then added the essential oils. I stirred in some cornstarch (from my kitchen) and poured it into the mold until it cooled off and solidified. Again, the lemongrass is so strong, I think I should have left it out because I’m on lemongrass overload at this point. Rub the finished bar over dry spots to moisturize.

Simply Earth makes it so easy for me to create my own cleaning and beauty products! I especially enjoyed how easy it was to make the bar soap and the solid lotion bars, it’s basically just melt, mix, and pour. I’m also happy to use the oils in my diffuser so a monthly recipe makes me happy. The rollerball is another item I look forward to creating each time, and again, I love the scent combos. I haven’t made the foaming hand soap because I don’t have any foaming hand soap containers to mix it up in but maybe I’ll buy one, use up the soap, then try the recipe. Keep in mind that you might need to have some items on hand or purchase them from Simply Earth (you can add on to your order) or from another shop. Sometimes it’s something like oatmeal or cornstarch, other times it might be a gentle preservative to increase shelf life or a special soap dispenser. I look forward to seeing what the next box will hold, and I check the back of the recipe cards for a sneak peek.
