Got my box today and although it still wasn’t a very impressive 1 the 3 in 1 turned out to be warm awesome inclusion for someone like me who doesn’t always feel up to washing my face at night. The perfume smelt very “manly” with my chemistry so that’s a miss, I thought the ahava moisturizer was a body moisturizer, another miss(& that’s the item I was excited about), even the face exfoliating mask wasn’t anything special and didn’t make my skin feel much different. Maybe that’s why they didn’t do a reveal in time to skip this box, I think a lot of people would have if it came out in time….I know I would’ve.
Normally they do have the reveal in time to skip but this month was different and the reveal was too late to skip. I know that they give what the companies send them and every sub is going to have dud boxes every now and then, this is a dud for me. I do like that they’ve been giving choices now & then on the shade of or different items all together recently and think that would be great for something like a full or even mini size perfume. They actually used to have full or mini sized perfumes fairly often years ago and stopped when they raised the price for the sub last year…
No discount or bonus gift for new subscribers??
This box definitely doesn’t impress me… the only item I’m interested in trying is the moisturizer… Commodity scents stink on me(and I’ve tried several already).. Why can’t they do a full bottle of perfume now and then of something else? It’s love to see a beauty box that each month has 1 skincare item, 1 haircare item, 1 makeup item, 1 bath/body item or perfume and 1 tool of some kind… That would make the perfect monthly box🙏🤞
But the good thing is they do a full reveal, so you can skip a box that isn’t right for you. I think that’s an amazing advantage.
I don’t think a full bottle of fragrance is a good idea, because fragrance is so subjective (floral? fresh? gourmand?), but maybe include a 1/4 ounce rollerball once in a while.
Realistically, Allure can only include things companies give them for free or at a steep discount.

I do wish companies would stop promoting Ahava. They advertise themselves as a natural Israeli health and skincare company, but they are actually owned by a huge Chinese conglomerate and have been absolutely pillaging the Dead Sea, pushing it to the brink of environmental catastrophy.
Thank you for educating me on this because I didn’t know that and appreciate learning things like this. What we have done to this planet is just disgusting.

So I was looking up the Ahava day cream and the only ones I found for $78 is the Essential Day Moisturizer – Normal To Dry Skin which i found on the ahava site, which is in the plastic bottle and the extreme day cream in a glass jar, which I found on amazon. The extreme day cream sounds so good and has great ingredients as it is supposed to help with wrinkles. I’m assuming we will be getting the essential day cream in the plastic bottle since it’s coming from a beautybox. I would love the extreme one tho. The yves Saint laurant lip product sounds great and I’m glad they had a great nude choice. It looks like it will be very moisturizing which my lips need right now. The cleanser sounds interesting and it has great reviews. The commodity fragrance will probably be more like a sample since there are 3 full size products already. Would have loved to get a full sized fragrance for once but this box looks decent to me already so I am almost positive I will not skip this month. We will see what the official spoilers are hopefully soon and I’ll make my decision then.

Do we have to wait until Feb 1 if we just one the Feb box? I’m worried if I sub now, they’ll send me the Jan box (which I don’t want)
Yes. If you sub now, you’ll get the Jan box. If you sub Feb 1, you might not get your choice of lip color. That was my predicament as well. I ended up subbing now and getting the Jan box. I’ll use the setting spray and nail base, so it’s worth the cost of the box for me.
The YSL lip product is nice, but none of the shades wow me.
The other two product descriptions are too vague to be useful.
I’m not big on frgrances in general, and Ahava products sometimes do not smell good to me.
Okay, fine, I’ll resub for a quarter.
