Cedarwood Essential Oil ($9.99) Cedarwood is supposed to be calming for the scalp and can be diluted with a carrier oil to soothe sore joints. It smells woody and sharp.

Good Vibes Essential Oil Blend ($19.99) Our blend for the month contains lavender, lemon, ho wood, geranium, and clary sage. It may help reduce mood swings and hot flashes and geranium is the note that I picked up.

Marjoram Essential Oil ($15.99) Marjoram may help aid digestion, relieve menstrual cramps, and clear a headache. It has a warm floral scent with a bit of a rosemary note.

Sage Essential Oil ($15.99) Sage can help relieve a headache and may support women’s wellness. It has a medicinal scent.

Fuchsia Mica Powder ($2.99), DIY Mineral Makeup Base ($2.99), Red Iron Oxide ($2.49), and Cosmetic Tin Container ($1.50 each) are the extras for the month, because we’re making our own makeup!

Simply Earth always includes a sheet of pre-scored stickers to place on our bottles and finished projects.

Each month we receive six new recipes to add to our collection.

Some of the recipes continue on the back of the card, while others have important info about the subscription.

Below are some of the projects I completed using this month’s recipes and extras!

I mainly diffuse my oils so I’m always happy to try a new recipe for my atomizer. I added the drops and water and then turned it on and welcomed the warm, herby scent.

Three of the recipes for this month were makeup items, and I made two of the recipes for this post. Simply Earth recently introduced a mineral makeup base so I spooned some in to a bowl, added some powdered pigments, and then mixed. Next, I stirred in some coconut oil and then after mixing pressed it into the included container.

It may not look like a million bucks, but this blush was brightly colored and was easy to apply. A little goes a looooong way and my husband thought my rosacea was acting up but I applied a lot less this morning and don’t look clownish and I’m quite pleased with the product! It’s very creamy.

I also made the lip color! It had a few more steps than the blush and called for more ingredients, most of which were found in my Big Bonus Box.

I mixed the pigment with the base in a dish, and I added a pinch of the pink mica for good measure. I melted the beeswax, coconut oil, and almond oil in the microwave in increments, but was worried when it started to smell like popcorn. I added the essential oils and then mixed it with the powders. It set up almost immediately, so instead of pouring it into a lip balm container, I used the other makeup container. Unlike the blush, this stuff is pretty hardened, like Chapstick. There’s not much color payoff on my lips, but it does feel good once applied. I’m about to use the oven so I’m going to try sticking this on top to melt and see if I can get it evened out for aesthetic reasons.

I had fun making my own makeup with the latest recipes and oils from Simply Earth! It didn’t take very long to make and I’m happy with the results. I also enjoyed the warm fragrance that came from my diffuser, the recipe was one of my favorites. I have a few more recipes that I can make when I have more time but I know they will turn out great, but I always make sure to watch the recipe demos at the Simply Earth YouTube channel before starting a project, as they always have great tips.

Above is an insert I received and below is a box opening picture.
