Kinder Beauty Box for November 2023 was themed The Glow Box and inside there were five items to help you get that glow factor for your face. Kinder Beauty lets you “build your box”. They send three items chosen for everyone by Kinder, then you will get to customize two other items from a short list. You are also able to purchase add-ons that ship with your monthly box. Kinder Beauty kindly sent all of the item choices for review so the picture shown above is what I would have chosen for myself!

Everyone gets these three items!

Pixi Skintreats In-Shower Steam Facial ($22) is a thick (I mean like glue) gel that you rub on your face before jumping in the shower. It immediately heated up my skin on contact, and I looked like I had a bad sunburn (but the redness went away pretty quickly). Then I rinsed off under the shower and it came off easily. My skin isn’t very dirty when I take a shower in the morning but I’m sure it can be used before bed as a regular cleanser and you should still get the heated effect.

Fleur & Bee Just Dew It Hydrating Serum ($60) is supposed to bring moisture to dry skin and is suggested for all skin types. It has hyaluronic acid, aloe, glycerin, niacinamide, and sea buckthorn oil included in the ingredients. It’s rather a thick serum and the dropper isn’t all that helpful, I think a pump would have worked better. Spread the yellow, wildflower scented serum all over the face after cleansing and follow with a moisturizer if you like. It’s not greasy at all but may feel slightly sticky for a while and I had no problems following with SPF and makeup, no pilling that I could tell.

Luxe + Willow Tongue Scrapers ($10) Tongue scrapers are supposed to remove bacteria from the tongue and therefore may fight bad breath (but I believe tonsil stones are a huge cause of halitosis and this won’t help that problem). You literally open your mouth and scrape this down the tongue. I’m thinking it would be a good idea to rinse your mouth afterwards. Then clean the scraper and place in the mesh bag until next time.

Choice 1: Here are the choices from category one:

Clove + Hallow Clover Glow Stick Illuminator in Golden Pearl ($16) This item and the one below are supposed to give that “glass skin” effect, shiny without shimmer, like you have an ethereal glow thanks to your amazing skin. This color actually does have a teeny bit of shimmer thanks to mica but it’s very subtle.

Clove + Hallow Clover Glow Stick Illuminator in Opalescent Nude ($16) is the same item as shown above, except as far as I can tell, it’s completely clear. You swipe it on the high points of the face and enjoy without any shimmery effect and without feeling greasy.

Laguna Herbals Vegan Eye Balm ($65) is a thick eye balm that can double as a makeup remover or can be repurposed to soften cuticles, face, elbows, etc. It has ingredients such as sunflower and safflower oils, chamomile and rose extracts, and not much more. A little goes a long way and it smells good and natural, maybe there’s a touch of geranium in there? Very nice.

Choice 2: Here are the choices from category two:

Sweet Chef Superfood + VItamins Moisture Boost ($19) I didn’t find this one the brand’s website but you can get it from Kinder or Amazon. It’s a moisturizer that’s supposed to provide superfood antioxidants to the skin to leave it looking glowy and hydrated. Glycerin, niacinamide, ginger extract, reishi, and algae are some of the ingredients and I saw hyaluronic acid on there too. The scent comes from essential oils but I don’t think it smells like much, there’s an earthy note to it for sure. It isn’t oily at all but I think my skin needs oils to be closer to the beginning of the ingredients list.

Uvé Beauty Antimicrobial Blender ($10) I occasionally reach for a makeup sponge, mainly to bounce concealer at the corners of my eyes when I accidentally overdo my eye makeup. They can be helpful for other makeup application and blending duties as needed and this one is anti-microbial but of course make sure to clean after using with a mild soap and let dry between uses.

There was an insert that tells you Kinder has an online shop for all of your vegan and cruelty-free beauty needs, including wellness products.

The November Kinder Beauty Box was filled with glowy choices for our face. I especially liked the Fleur & Bee hydrating serum, and while I wouldn’t have chosen the Clove + Hallow illuminator for myself, I really liked it once I used it. I’m not sure I’ll use the Pixi steam facial again, but that’s because I have rosacea and I don’t need my skin to become even redder than it normally is. I didn’t try the tongue scraper, I know my gag reflex won’t allow it but my daughter was pleased to take it off my hands. I think she will like the Sweet Chef moisturizer too, but I’m keeping the eye balm to myself! The value for your box will depend on which extras you chose for yourself but my combo as shown above is worth around $176!
