TYS Beauty Final Treat + Clear Hyaluronic Acid Setting Spray ($28) I’m not a setting spray user but this one is better than any I’ve ever tried, if only for the fact that it has no added fragrance! It also has hyaluronic acid to help draw moisture to the skin and it’s supposed to blur pores and fine lines. I also appreciate that this comes out as a fine mist.

JLo Beauty That Fresh Take Eye Cream ($48) Here is another product with no added fragrance and that has hyaluronic acid. It’s supposed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while making dark circles disappear. It has a creamy consistency and dries to a matte, non-oily finish and I didn’t notice my makeup pilling up on top.

Caliray Come Hell or High Water Mascara ($24) Mascara is mascara is mascara. I don’t find much difference between various brands for my eyelashes, but this one did come in a cute container that sort of matches the BoxyCharm shipping box! It’s supposed to be water resistant yet you wash it off with warm water (I actually used my usual micellar water to get it off). The brush is pretty standard and this is the tubing type of mascara. It stayed on all day, which makes it good in my book.

Persona Cosmetics Eyeliner Duo ($16 each or buy 2 for $20) is a creamy eyeliner that glides right on, and if you’re not careful it also smears right off. It’s true that it doesn’t smear under water, I tried that myself and had liner on the back of my hand all day long, and maybe it’s the oils around my eyes or something but I looked in the mirror an hour after applying and found it all over the place. The plum color is more like brown and the brown color is more like black.

Swatched on top is the liner in Plum and on the bottom is Brown.

R.E.M. Beauty Midnight Eyeshadows Palette in Principessa ($19.20) It looks like there are several versions of this palette available and this one has good colors for fall and winter. I didn’t realize it until now but this brand is from Ariana Grande and the colors went on easily and any fall out (which was minimal) was easy to brush away. I’m not loving the colors because I think they’re too dark for me but I managed to wear Honey, Cannoli, Sunset in Gildone, and Cappuccino. I think Smitten Kitten or Babydoll would have worked better for my desired look.

Here’s the swatches from the r.e.m. palette!

I have lots of new makeup to play with thanks to my latest BoxyCharm by Ipsy delivery! The only non-makeup item out of the five products I received was an eye cream, which is always fine with me! The eyeliners were ok, I just have to check in the mirror every now and then to touch up a few smudges, it mostly happens shortly after applying. I liked the mascara, and while I typically don’t wear a setting spray, this one was better than most simply because it didn’t have any added fragrance but it does have hyaluronic acid. While the eye shadow palette wasn’t quite the colors I prefer to wear, I found I can mix at least four of the shades with other shadows in my collection. The value for my BoxyCharm for December was around $140!

Below is the insert I found in my box!
