In your first kit, you will learn basic stitches that will serve as the foundation of the afghan project. It will include yarns, patterns for your first 3 blocks, plus 4 gifts: a set of crochet hooks, a tapestry needle, and illustrated stitch guide. As the kits progress, you will be able to build your skills and explore complicated stitch patterns. Each subsequent monthly kit contains the yarn and patterns for 3 new blocks, making a total of 30. For the final kit, they will provide you with materials to block your squares and guide you through seaming and adding the border to your afghan!
Subscribers also get access to video instructions, available for both right and left‑handed stitchers. This is helpful for newbie crocheters, as well as for crocheters who need a refresher – it’s like having a crafting instructor right in your home!
Since the whole project is spread out in 11 months, there’s more time to make an heirloom-quality afghan. You won’t feel rushed to master techniques and you’d be able to set enough time for crocheting even when you have a busy schedule!
Here’s a peek at the project:
There are 5 colorways to choose from, depending on your preferences or your home’s aesthetic. Coastal Gray is on the neutral side, with a combination of light gray, dark gray, and white yarns. It’s something that can easily fit into any home theme. Meanwhile, Warm Sand includes different shades of brown from dark to light, perfect for adding warmth to your space. Another classic color choice is Natural Pearl, composed of cream-colored yarns. Meadow Lane is for those who like their afghan colorful, as it has yarn colors inspired by summer blooms. For those who like blues and grays, Lake House might be up your alley!
