The October 2023 Cloth & Paper theme was Annotation and Note-Taking, which was perfect note only for professionals but for students too! When you start your subscription you will indicate which size planner you own (there are 11 options to choose from) and you can add on the Penspiration Box to receive some pretty amazing writing utensils.

Planning + Stationery Box

There was a card that showed each item in the box along with a description.

Here’s everything in the Planning & Stationery Box!

Marginalia Dashboard Dashboards can be used to divide your planner into sections.

Column Note Taking Insert This insert has a place for you to list main ideas on the left, then you can work out the details on the right. The last page has a sample filled in to give you an idea of how to put it to use.

Double Cary All Pouch + Ristretto Liner This set actually has two bags: a darker vinyl bag on the outside, and a removeable nylon pouch on the inside. Both bags have dividers inside and each one also has a snap closure. You can order inserts in different colors if you like!

Circle Sticky Notes I didn’t see this item listed but they are semi-transparent sticky notes that are quite large, 2.75 inches across. Oil-based ink works best if you plan on writing on this sticker.

Correction Tape Pen As a substitute teacher I often have to change my schedule so I make sure to keep correction tape on hand at all times so my planner isn’t a mess. You just have to hold it down and run it over whatever you need to cover up, and there’s no smell or drying time, since it’s tape!

Left Bound QEC Notepad | CP Petite I like the silver binding on this perforated notebook. QEC is a method for organizing information and you can see it in the sections listed: Question, Evidence, and Conclusion.

Clear Index Tabs Set Vol. 1 This is a cute way to make an instant filing system. One of the tabs was inserted backwards but they are under the following three headers: To-Do, Priorities, and This Week.

Footnote Bookmark Journaling Card and December Pop Up Calendar These items are printed on sturdy cardstock. One is a bookmark, and the other is a pop-up calendar.

This card has a QR code that when scanned brings up exclusive subscriber content.

Penspiration Box

Here’s everything in the Penspiration Box! This is available as an add-on to the Planning + Stationery Box.

Pen Test Sheet is on the right while the Penspiration Board is on the left. The Penspiration Board has a journaling prompt on the back. The Pen Test Sheet lists each pen that was included so I wrote my name in the appropriate spot using the correct pen (see below).

Undated Calendar Card can be used when and however you would like to use it.

Ellipse Shape Sticker Set Subscribers received one set and it was in one of three different colors — I received Avant Garde, which is black.

Set of Pens You can find out more info on these pens at the Cloth & Paper subscription unboxing page on their website. I received a mechanical pencil, highlighter, two pens with black ink, and one pen with blue ink. The pens flow nicely over paper and I reach for them all the time. Some subscribers may receive slightly different products, like a different highlighter color or barrel color, but otherwise they should be exactly the same type of writing utensil.

The October collection from Cloth & Paper was perfect not only for working professionals but for students too, especially thanks to the note taking insert and the QEC notepad. I was thrilled to receive some correction tape and the pouch within a pouch is going straight into my work tote. I especially look forward to receiving new pens, pencils, and highlighters thanks to the Penspiration add-on, the pens flow effortlessly across paper. Don’t forget to check out the bonus content for subscribers only, and get ready for November’s box, which will focus on planning products for the upcoming new year.

I found all of my items tucked into the pouch shown below, which can be reused to hold stationery items, makeup, or whatever else will fit.
