The September 2023 Cloth & Paper theme was Planning Principles which included anything but boring basics. When you start your subscription you will indicate which size planner you own (there are 11 options to choose from) and you can add on the Penspiration Box to receive some pretty amazing writing utensils.

Planning + Stationery Box

There was a card that showed each item in the box along with a description.

Here’s everything in the Planning & Stationery Box!

Longevity & Refinement Dashboard The dashboard separates sections in your planner in style. It’s printed on cardstock.

Scenario Planning Insert At the very back of the insert there is a sample page already filled in, which is great because sometimes I have trouble getting started. Each page is divided into four sections and the page opposite is lined for note-taking. Plan out your dreams to make them a reality.

Priority Matrix Insert Once again, we have a sample filled in at the back. This insert has you start by making a list of tasks, then you place them in a matrix according to importance. Sometimes you have to let some stuff go and some things can be tackled at a later date, and this matrix helps you figure it all out.

Task Notes as Notebook / Silver This notebook has a cool reflective silver cover that certainly looks sleek. Inside are tons of lined pages which can be used for journaling but I also noticed a line on the left hand side which makes me think this would also work well for lists, and that’s possibly why it is called a task notes book. You can check tasks off as you complete them. This notebook has 220 pages.

Time Block Sticker Set Vol. 5 We received these time block stickers in four different colors. I hope the name is self-explanatory.

SWOT Analysis Stickers Our next set of stickers came in four different colors that sound inspired by coffeehouse drinks. SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats so use accordingly.

Cloth & Paperclip in Silver This paperclip has a magnet inside to help it hold onto papers or to keep your place in a planner or book.

Fear Journaling Card, Beginning Now Journaling Card, and November Pop Up Calendar The pop up calendar can be placed on your desk so you can see the date at a glance. The journaling cards can be clipped into a planner (with, say, the paperclip shown above) and they provide decoration and inspiration.

Circle Sticky Notes I didn’t see this on the card or on the website unboxing page but this set of three different sizes of sticky notes is pretty cool. I sometimes use notes like this as bookmarks too.

Penspiration Box

Here’s everything in the Penspiration Box! This is available as an add-on to the Planning + Stationery Box.

Pen Test Sheet is on the left while the Penspiration Board is on the right. The Penspiration Board has a journaling prompt on the back. The Pen Test Sheet received a makeover and now lists each pen that was included so I wrote my name in the appropriate spot using the correct pen (see below).

Undated Calendar Card can be used when and however you would like to use it.

Set of Pens You can find out more info on these pens at the Cloth & Paper subscription unboxing page on their website. I received a mechanical pencil, highlighter, two pens with black ink, and one pen with blue ink. The pens flow nicely over paper and I reach for them all the time.

Cloth & Paper gave me tools to help me plan projects and to focus on what’s important and what I can skip in order to reach my goals. I thought the notebook looked really cool with its silver cover, and the way it was formatted means I can use it to create lists and check items off after they are completed. The silvery clip is useful and stylish at the same time. Of course, I don’t want to skip over the writing implements, I am always reaching for a pen from Cloth & Paper! Don’t forget to check out the bonus content for subscribers only, and get ready for next month’s box, which will focus on note-taking.

I had one other card that included a QR code for exclusive subscriber content and the ability to purchase extras of the items that were in this month’s box.

I found all of my items tucked into the pouch shown below, which can be reused to hold stationery items, makeup, or whatever else will fit.

Cloth & Paper offers a monthly subscription box of their planner supplies, inserts, and writing instruments. The items look sleek and Cloth & Paper believes “there is luxury in simplicity”. You can add-on Penspiration for an extra $10 per month. Our readers love this subscription – Cloth & Paper was voted as the top pick for the best stationery subscription this year!
