The August 2023 Cloth & Paper theme was Healthy Habit Planning and had items to help us focus on our physical and mental wellbeing. If you are new to this box then know that they have a few different subscription options, and you can choose planner sizes based on the planner you use at home or work. This is a review of their Penspiration AND Planning + Stationery combo, which is $54.99 a month and drops to as low as $49.99 a month when you choose the 6-month term. (Please note that the picture above is of BOTH boxes combined!)

Planning + Stationery Box

There was a card that showed each item in the box along with a description.

Here’s everything in the Planning & Stationery Box!

Well-Being Dashboard is printed on vellum paper and while not translucent, it certainly blurs any harsh lines. Dashboards can be used to create sections in your planner.

Wellness Log Insert You can track eleven different habits each week, including sleep, meals, and water goals. The last page has a helpful example.

Activity Tracker Insert You can track any goal you wish with this customizable Activity Tracker. The back page has an example to inspire you to track an exercise routine and the stickers shown below fit nicely into the daily squares.

Healthy Planning Stickers These stickers of course work well with the insert shown above but of course you could use them in your daily, weekly, or monthly planners too.

Recipe Card Set This set came in an acrylic box that is meant to hold your recipes, and cards are included! You can write down new healthy recipes that you have tried and liked, or if you’re old school like me you can cut small recipes out of magazines and then tape them to the card (or an index card). There were three dividers included, plus 15 cards.

Uni One Pens I’m not going into too much detail on these pens since we have more pens to show below (including these same pens), but these are Uni One F Series pens in Olive (0.5mm) and Saxe Blue (0.38mm), and they included a refill for each one.

October Pop Up Calendar, Bien-Etre Journaling Card, What Keeps You Going Journaling Card The calendar card is one of those pop-up types that you can then set on your desk to glance at when needed. The journaling cards can be placed in your planner for extra motivation when needed, plus they look nice with their subdued colors.

AG1 Travel Pack ($12 value?) I haven’t tried this supplement yet but overall I don’t think we should rely on them to provide our nutrients, but treat them like a multivitamin that can help us reach higher levels of some nutrients that may be hard to eat enough of in one day (I’m talking about you, potassium). Also, some vitamins, like vitamin C, are water soluble, so it doesn’t make sense to take a whole bunch at once because it’s going to come out of the body in a short amount of time. This supplement is supposed to boost immunity, help gut health, boost energy, and help the body bounce back from workouts but as always, “these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration”.

100 Days Tracker Sticky Notes I think we always receive a sticky note of some sort and this time around it’s a cool pad that can help you track a goal for 100 days! That’s a lot of days! It’s always a good feeling to check off a box when you complete a healthy habit so pick one and get started today.

Penspiration Box

Here’s everything in the Penspiration Box!

Penspiration Board is on the left while the Pen Test Sheet is on the right. The Penspiration Board has a journaling prompt on the back. The Pen Test Sheet received a makeover and now lists each pen that was included so I wrote my name in the appropriate spot using the correct pen (see below).

Undated Calendar Card can be used when and however you would like to use it.

Set of Pens This month we received three pens, a mechanical pencil, and an eraser. I like that they mixed it up a bit — I rarely reach for a pencil or eraser so it’s nice to have these on hand. You can find out more info about each pen/pencil/eraser at the Unboxing Blog at the Cloth & Paper website.

I was pleased with this month’s wellbeing theme and I know that the inserts will help me develop a plan and stay on track to reach my health and wellness goals. I especially like the 100 days tracker sticky pad. I’m looking forward to trying the AG1 supplement pack — I’m back to subbing in schools and Covid and other viruses are on the rise so I am willing to give them a try to help fight off all of those bad bugs out there. I am always happy to receive pens that work exceptionally well but not only did I receive five (plus four refills) in my combined boxes, I also received a mechanical pencil and eraser — I can pencil sub jobs in and then erase them if they fall through (or change to indelible ink when confirmed). I will most likely gift the recipe card set to my college student since I already have my own system, but I’ll fill in some cards with her favorite dishes first.

If you are looking for a inserts for 2024 then you can order them now at the C&P website. Below is a bag that contained all of this month’s items!
