Simply Earth June 2023 Essential Oil Box was themed Diffusing! It included recipes and extras to make a key chain, gel air freshener, and more. Simply Earth aims to help teach subscribers how to make their own beauty products and cleaning items – read on for more info!

Deal: Receive a free big bonus box with your first box, plus get a $45 gift card for your next box or future purchases.

Anise Star Essential Oil ($12.99) I keep a spread sheet of all of my single oils and anise is new to my list! It’s not my favorite scent because let’s face it, it smells like black licorice, but it is supposed to boost the immune system and increase circulation.

Clove Essential Oil ($10.99) This is such a wonderful smell, it reminds me of baking and winter. Clove may aide in digestion and also boosts the immune system.

Fit Essential Oil Blend ($15.99) Fit is our blend for the month and is a combination of grapefruit, spearmint, and lavender. It’s supposed to help fight food cravings and smells most like spearmint.

Peppermint Essential Oil ($12.99) Peppermint is one of my most favorite scents ever and I like it in everything: body care products, toothpaste, gum, ice cream, and more. It’s supposed to increase energy and fight headaches.

Reed Bouquet Diffuser ($4.99), DIY Wood Keychain Diffuser ($6.99), and Natural Solubilizer ($4.99) are the bonus items for this month. They will be used in some of the recipes shown below and extras can be purchased at the Simply Earth online shop.

Simply Earth always includes a sheet of pre-scored stickers to place on our bottles and finished projects.

Each month we receive six new recipes to add to our collection.

Sometimes the recipes continue on the back of the cards, but mostly they list important info like what’s in the box, what’s coming next month, and more.

Below are a few of the projects I completed with this month’s recipe box and supplies!

I absolutely loved last month’s diffuser blend and this is yet another winner! The first time I diffused it I could really pick up the peppermint but the next day I felt like anise and clove were stronger. I’m left with the lingering scent of mint, which is always uplifting in my opinion.

The rollerballs are super simple to make. I simply placed the pre-printed label on a rollerball container (from my Big Bonus Box), dropped in the essential oils as called for in the recipe, then topped with fractionated coconut oil (also from the BBB).

I cannot figure out why this blend is called Almond Joy. It has some mint from the oil blend so maybe Junior Mint would have worked better but either way, I like it. Of course, now I want candy.

The final project that I attempted was a simple reed diffuser. It called for a small jar with a narrow neck, which I couldn’t seem to find around my house but if you can find one, I think it would help the finished project look better. It’s mainly about mixing oils and solubilizer and distilled water and then arranging the included diffusers into a cute table topper.

My finished project had a milky look to it but you may have a different result. Also, the greenery is dyed paper so my “water” is now a lovely shade of blue. I must say, I can’t really detect any scent unless I pick it up and sniff deeply. Of course, I wasn’t expecting a huge scent payoff like I would with a traditional reed diffuser that uses perfumed oils and other ingredients that some may consider toxic.

The number one way that I like to use essential oils is by diffusing them, so this box was a win for me! I still have a few more projects to make, like jelly air fresheners and wax potpourri bark but the keychain is too chunky for my needs so I may gift it or use it to hold my gate and shed keys. The mini reed bouquet was adorable and I loved the diffuser blend, mint is always popular with me. I also liked the roll on, though I have no idea why it’s called Almond Joy, who knows. Next month’s box is all about turning your bathroom into an in-home spa!

Below is the insert I received with the badge we’ve earned this month and an offer for a free oil with purchase of a stone diffuser.
