Kinder Beauty Box for July 2023 was themed GLOW TIME BOX and inside there were five beauty items to help us shine this summer! Kinder Beauty lets you “build your box”. They send three items chosen for everyone by Kinder, then you will get to customize two other items from a short list. You are also able to purchase add-ons that ship with your monthly box. Kinder Beauty kindly sent all of the item choices for review so the picture shown above is what I would have chosen for myself!

Everyone gets these three items!

ShiKai Very Clean Mango Hand Cream ($6.99) Ahh, a fruity mango-scented hand cream is just what I need to send myself on a tropical break, even if only for a few minutes after applying. This non-greasy cream has nourishing ingredients like jojoba, glycerin, cupuaçu butter, vitamin C, and more. I obviously enjoyed the fragrance and it’s a good sized container. This is probably best used as a day lotion as opposed to a before bed lotion.

Onekind Aciddrops Overnight Resurfacing Serum ($48) This serum is supposed to perform all kinds of miracles for your skin while you’re sleeping: even the skin tone and texture, leave the skin brighter while fading dark spots, hydrate and smooth skin, that’s a lot to ask! It has a combo of four different acids plus vitamin C, along with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, flower oils, and more. You are supposed to apply every other night after cleansing, wait for it to dry, and then apply moisturizer. It’s a creamy gel and it smells, well, not very pleasant, like vinegar (which isn’t bad by itself) and something else that’s bleh. It leaves a silky but not quite greasy film on the skin after it’s applied. I’m not really worried about my face, but I would like the spots on the back of my hands to get out of here so I plan on using this under hand lotion before bed and see if it really makes a difference.

Jazmine beauty Detail Setting Brush ($18) I thought the ferrule on this brush was cool, I enjoy getting brushes that are colorful or unique, but of course they need to work well too! This brush is meant to be used for applying setting powders, and I used it when trying out the setting powder shown below. It worked fine for smaller areas, like under the eye, rather than the whole face. I think it would work well with bronzer and highlighter too.

Choice 1: Here are the choices from category one:

Jane Iredale Glow Time® Blush Stick ($38) My picture didn’t quite capture the “bright coral pink” that is otherwise known as Afterglow, but I think my swatch below is a better representation. This is a creamy, easy to apply blush stick that can also be used on lips. I tried it both ways and thought it looked good in both places. I swiped a little on my cheeks and then simply used my fingertips to blend it in and around and that’s it, that’s all you have to do. You could use a blush brush if you prefer. I will be using this for the foreseeable future.

Here’s the Jane Iredale blush stick swatch. The top swatch is one swipe, while the one below it is two. It is buildable as you can see, but one swipe is enough for my skin tone. There’s a hint of mica for that “glow” but the shimmery glitter along the left side is from a different product, there are no chunky glitters in this beautiful blush.

Snow Fox Skincare Snow Melt Mattifying & Setting Powder ($38) I use a powdered foundation and I don’t think I’m the target audience for this, however I was getting ready for a concert and was using liquid foundation (my standby option for special occasions) and went ahead and applied this on top. I didn’t see much difference, but then my skin isn’t really oily anymore. I liked the sifter top, and the fact that there’s a barrier between the puff and the powder. What I didn’t care for was seeing powder drift up into the air, and then most likely into my lungs. It left a matte look to my skin and it disappears after it’s applied, no white cast left behind.

Avarelle Cosmetics Nose Patch: Pore & Oil Control ($14.99) I remember using pore strips a long time ago, but I have no use for them now, I need all the oil I can get! I’m gifting this to my daughter but let me tell you a little about them first. Unlike the other kind, this one goes onto a clean, dry nose before bed and you leave it on all night. The ingredients are supposed to draw out oil and debris and it’s supposed to fight inflammation and make pores appear smaller. Some of the ingredients are tea tree, cica, and niacinamide.

Choice 2: Here are the choices from category two:

Daily Concepts Daily Slip on Exfoliator ($18) It seems like this product is meant to remove excess self-tanner, but I don’t tan so I can’t really say whether it does that or not. Of course, you can use it as a body scrubber just for the sake of scrubbing! It looks like a tennis wrist sweatband, except scrubbier. It’s made of cotton, polyamide, polyester, and polyurethane and the box says it’s biodegradable. The tag on the side fades when it’s time to replace. Slip four fingers (no thumb) through the middle and scrub with water and shower gel while in the shower or bath. Dry between uses.

Cuccio Somatology Cooling Spot Temple Therapy With Peppermint ($39) Ooh, this is a pricey product! I love all things peppermint, it’s so energizing and it helps me feel a bit cooler when I smell it/wear it, and since it’s going to be 109 today I can use all the help I can get! I used one pump and massaged it at my temples and above my eyebrows, and then placed more behind my neck. It smells wonderful, I just kept smelling it on my fingertips, but eventually I could feel a cooling sensation on my temples and neck. Later in the day I applied it to my wrists and inner elbows (in other words, various pulse points) and again, it felt so cool and delightfully tingly. Just lovely!

What a fun summertime box from Kinder! I was happy with all of the items, although some of them were a better fit for my personal beauty needs. I had a hard time choosing a favorite item, although the Cuccio mint cooling cream has been one of my favorites from any box: it smells good and it helps my skin feel a bit cooler when applied, usually on the back of my neck. I’ve found myself reaching for the Jane Iredale glow stick daily, it’s so effortless to use, just swipe and blend. I’m also thrilled to have a tube of mango-scented hand cream, it’s a happy summer treat for sure. The value for your box combo will vary depending on which options you choose, but for my five items it was around $150!

Below are two cards that were placed in the box, and below that is the box opening pic. There was no product info card, but you can use the QR code to get all of the info for your box!
