Each month my candle comes packed in a reusable bag. This month’s bag is in mustard on cream and is made of sturdy cotton.
Keystone Inspired Co. Harmony Soy Candle ($36 for 11.5 ounces) I really appreciate that Vellabox delivers a different candle brand each month, and this one is new-to-me. The scent notes include lavender, sage, and cedarwood and this is the candle you would receive if you chose “Herbal” as your scent preference. I like all of those notes, and when unlit it smells like an herby lavender candle, but the scent isn’t strong. I’ve burned this candle on three different occasions, for at least 2+ hours at a time, and I just can’t detect the scent until I blow it out. This size candle is supposed to burn for around 80 hours.
“See You Later” Luggage Tag by Vellabox ($10) I need some luggage tags and this one is cute! It’s made of pleather and says “See You Later” on one side. The other side has a flap that conceals a card that can be removed so you can add your contact details.
I am always excited to see Vellabox show up in my mail box! They introduce me to a different candle and maker each month and I’m always happy to find out what my candle smells like. My June candle, Harmony by Keystone Inspired Co., didn’t have much hot throw, I kind of forgot it was burning even though I was sitting just a couple of feet away. When I opened the jar I could smell a natural fragrance, similar to essential oils, but that didn’t show up while it was burning. I think Vellabox candles are never super high on hot throw, which makes them perfect for those who prefer a light scent due to sensitivities or allergies (strong candles make my stomach feel icky and head ache). They provide a relaxing ambience and bring a sense of hygge-ness, or coziness, to my home, which I crave year round. I’m already looking forward to my next box!
