When I received my Platterful box, I couldn’t help but get excited about all the tasty ideas that popped into my head after seeing all of the fresh ingredients inside. I knew I had to make my own charcuterie board right then and there.

My box contains 12 assorted ingredients including goat cheese, mustard, honey, chocolate, crackers, peanuts, cured meats, and a variety of spreads.

Chevoo Spread Spreadable Goat Cheese ($7.50) is a creamy, smooth upgrade of regular cream cheese. Every Day Original takes silky goat cheese then blends it with robust olive oil and French grey salt. This goat cheese spread pairs well with just about anything from fresh fruits and vegetables, to cured meats, crackers, nuts, meats, and even with jellies and jams. I really like how the container is nicely packaged and sealed in a small container jar.

Next is the semi-hard cheese, Eichten’s Tomato Basil Gouda ($5.99). This all-natural, European-style Gouda is made with pasteurized cow’s milk, culture, vegetable rennet, salt brine, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, onion, and garlic. These ingredients make up the rich, unique buttery flavor and smooth texture. This cheese is also incredibly tasty in hot and cold salads, casseroles, burgers, and sandwiches.

Another kind of cheese in my box is the Sartori Merlot BellaVitano Cheese ($6.99). As a Sartori family original, the BellaVitano cheese is inspired by traditional, Italian farmstead cheese. It features a rich and creamy texture with a great, crave-able taste reminiscent of an aged, premium Wisconsin Cheddar cheese balanced by a full-flavored Parmesan. The combination of Wisconsin Cheddar cheese and Parmesan give this BellaVitano cheese a terrific texture, somewhere between creamy and rich and crunchy and granular.

It’s easy to enjoy cheese on its own, but it also shines brightly in any number of mouthwatering pairings. Perhaps one of cheese’s greatest partners is sweet, delectable honey. Platterful never disappoints with their mini jar of Bonne Maman Honey. It’s a deliciously floral, light honey that naturally enhances the flavor of any ingredient it’s paired with. But keep in mind that honey can crystallize, which is a natural phenomenon that poses no danger for consumption.

Another delightful appetizer in Platterful’s subscription box is the Divina Orange Fig Spread ($8.94). From grilled cheese to cheese plates to roasted veggies, this top-selling traditional Greek fig jam comes alive with the addition of bright citrus from sweet Navelina oranges. You’ll be hard-pressed not to want to spoon this fig spread over everything.

One of the items I loved in this box was the Wilder Condiments Horseradish Mustard ($8). The horseradish mustard is exceptional, making me want to grab a spoon and eat it all at once. Other flavors to try from Wilder Condiments include Jalapeno Mustard, Dijonish Mustard, and Sweet & Hot Mustard.

If you haven’t tried Feridies Peanuts ($2.95) in your charcuterie board before, I recommend that you do so on your next occasion. These peanuts are cooked in pure peanut oil and lightly salted to maintain the peanuts’ distinctive flavor and healthy qualities. I received a 3oz bag that has a tear notch and zip lock seal for easy opening and closing.

Fresh fruits like pears, apples, and tomatoes add some much-needed freshness to the board, and also add a great contrast. The freshly packed and seasoned Oloves Basil & Garlic ($3.74) add a sense of luxuriousness to the overall presentation. Bursting with natural goodness, this pack of deliciously marinated olives served in foil fresh pouches, are really tasty and low in calories.

Making a dessert charcuterie board is a guaranteed hit, especially when you make a spread based around a universally loved dessert ingredient like Endangered Species Chocolate Almonds Sea Salt + Dark Chocolate ($5.48). Endangered Species Chocolate is made with a handful of only health-conscious, high-quality ingredients with zero artificial sweeteners or additives. I honestly can tell by the taste and texture of this dark chocolate that it is made entirely of cacao, with no added fats or fillers.

Carr’s Table Water Crackers in Cracked Pepper provide the perfect base to enjoy cheeses and spreads on your charcuterie board. These thin, crispy, classic crackers are dressed up with flecks of pepper. You can also layer your favorite foods on top of this cracker for a combination of delicious flavors and textures!

When it comes to picking protein for your charcuterie board, San Guissepe Salami Co. Hot Sopressata is one of the best-cured meats to have. This hot soppressata salami is coarsely ground for a truly tender texture complemented by fresh garlic and white wine. Other salami varieties include Milano, Pepperoni, Sweet Sopressata, Classico, and Vesuvio. All ingredients are locally produced and their pork is raised in North Carolina.

You certainly can’t call it a charcuterie box without Columbus Grande Denoa Salami. What makes this salami different is that it starts with finely chopped, extra-lean pork. Then, it’s mixed with garlic, cracked black pepper, and wine, after which it’s slow-aged, giving it the aromatic mildness and soft texture it’s famous for.

Overall, Platterful’s subscription box has the perfect kind of ingredients you need to make a beautifully presentable charcuterie board. By selecting one of their subscription boxes, you’ll get the finest variety of high-quality cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and accompaniments.
