Sephora Clean Skin Gel Cleanser with Prebiotics ($0.96) is a moisturizing gel cleanser loaded with clean ingredients including probiotics and aloe vera. It helps remove makeup and impurities while soothing the skin, and also leaves the skin well-moisturized. I like that the cleanser is lightweight and fragrance-free because my skin is sometimes sensitive to new products. This skincare product is even eco-friendly because the tube is made from 43% recycled plastic and the ink used for the label are plant-based.
A superfood for the skin, TULA Skincare So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub ($32) contains probiotic extracts that help balance the good and bad bacteria on the skin. I received the full size! This sugar scrub is extra gentle, melting away excess oil, buildup, and impurities without stripping the skin’s moisture. It also exfoliates the skin, for a soft and plump appearance after use! The formulation includes papaya and pineapple enzymes that brighten the appearance of the skin. To use, apply a dime-sized amount and gently massage in a circular motion. Although I like fragrance-free skincare, I appreciate the scrub’s subtle beach vacation-inspired scent. Pineapple is one of my favorites!
For those who love trying new fragrances, here’s the Victor & Rolf Good Fortune EDP Spray ($2.24), which arrived in a 12 ml spray bottle. I like getting sample size perfumes so I can try it before buying a full size bottle. This perfume has no animal-derived ingredients, so it’s a vegan perfume! It also has a long wear time (at least for me). Top scent notes include fennel and gentian flower, followed by jasmine in the middle and bourbon vanilla at the base. If you’re into warm floral scents, this might be up your alley.
The Beauty Crop Blush Duo in Mauve-ulous ($10.99) gives the cheeks a pop of color and a healthy glow! This full-sized blush duo has one cream blush and one powder blush, and the shades complement my skin very well. They’re not too dark nor too bright. The duo also contain natural ingredients like Aronia berry, kale, and papaya, plus pomegranate that helps with cell regeneration. Talk about skin-friendly makeup products! You can wear the blushes individually or apply the powder blush on top of the cream blush. It also comes with a mirror, so you can bring it anywhere with you, and I love convenience!
Looking for vitamin D without prolonged sun exposure? Then Solaana MD Healthy Base Layer Vitamin D Enriched Skin Cream ($6.75) has you covered. It contains coriander seed oil that soothes the skin, organic coconut oil with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, and orange oil that promotes clarity, radiance, and smoothness. These ingredients from nature, promote skin health and boost vitamin D absorption! The cream itself is also lightweight with a smooth consistency. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and nut-free. You can use this cream on your face and body under your fave sunscreen or just on its own. Either way, it works great!
TYNT Brow Gel in Clear ($14) helps keep your brows polished and in tact! They sent a full-sized brow gel to make it easy for you to tame and form your brows to your desired shape while giving them natural volume. It comes in a clear formula with an applicator so you can brush your brows until you have reached your desired look. This product also makes the brows look fuller without clumping or the sticky feeling. It works with all brow colors and can be used over any brow pencil color! The formula is cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, non-toxic, and vegan. I don’t know about you guys, but I consider brow gel one of my everyday must-haves and I always keep one in my purse!
Tori Belle Magnetude Magnetic Lashes 9 to 5 ($35) and Tori Belle Magnetude Gold Magnetic Eyeliner ($40) are the perfect combo to give the eyes a gorgeous look. I have been wanting to try magnetic lashes since they became a thing, so needless to say, I was very excited to see this product in my box! Magnetic lashes add volume without being over-dramatic while the eyeliner provides dimension to the eyes. To use, you apply two coats of magnetic eyeliner to the lid. Let it dry completely before applying the lashes. The pair of magnetic lashes also included eight anchor magnets for additional stability. Also, the eyeliner is water-resistant and comes with a tapered tip applicator for smooth application.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Cheat ($24) gives the lips a smoother, seamless shape! I am a huge Charlotte Tilbury fan and her products never disappoint. It glides so smoothly on the lips, giving it a defined and fuller-looking velvety finish with a chic nude-pink color. The formula contains hyaluronic acid that creates a supple texture while hydrating the lips and jojoba seed oil that locks-in moisture. It doesn’t smudge and is transfer-proof too!
Sunday Riley Light Hearted Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Daily Face Sunscreen ($35) protects the skin from sun damage. I received it in the full size, which is more than enough to accompany me in the remaining summer weeks. I have melasma on my face so I wear sunscreen everyday. It naturally defends skin from blue light and leaves a velvety finish without a white cast and greasy residue. The formula contains turmeric extract, which is a powerful antioxidant. Aside from protecting the skin, it also hydrates the skin with or without makeup and it’s fragrance-free too!
What’s not to love about the August 2022 Allure Beauty Box? There are ten beauty products in the box, all of which work together to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy! The skincare products are fast-absorbing, while the makeup products are easy to apply. There are several full-sized items in the box as well, making it so worth it! The retail value came to a total of $205.94. Most of the items are even vegan and cruelty-free, which is also a plus. Allure really aces the beauty game every month with expert-tested beauty products!
