Our October Quilty Box featured artist is Gail Cadden of @timelesstreasuresfabrics!
Gail Cadden’s career as an artist started in 2nd grade when she realized a spectacular cover would earn her a better grade on her book reports!
Gail has been designing bestselling novelty prints for Timeless Treasures for more than 15 years. This talented illustrator admits she still tends to draw things the way they looked to her as a six-year-old.
For November, it’s CARL HENTSCH of 3DogDesignCo!
Carl Hentsch, author of three best-selling quilt books: “Stars ‘N Strips Forever,” “Amish Inspired Quilts for Today’s Home,” and “New York Beauties and Flying Geese,” started quilting in 1999. He learned by watching Eleanor Burns, Alex Anderson, and Fons and Porter. He had his original designs displayed in American Quilting Society Shows in Knoxville and Des Moines, as well as a traveling quilt with the 2010 and 2012 Hoffman Challenge. Carl displayed his quilts at the Houston Quilt Festival 2018 in a special exhibit, “Making the Modern Traditional and the Traditional Modern.” He is published in a variety of magazines including, “American Patchwork and Quilting,” “Love of Quilting,” “Quilty,” “Generation Q,” and “Modern Quilts Unlimited.” Carl books travel in the U.S. for numerous quilt guilds teaching and lecturing on his designs.
