The theme for August is Wanderlust!

Ipsy Glam Bag. This month’s pouch looks really classy. It has snake-skin like texture and I love the ivory color because it’s very easy on the eyes. There’s an IPSY branding in the middle bottom part of the back.

Here’s what the front looks like. It has an envelope like enclosure that’s simple yet very sophisticated looking.

The interior is lined with a lime green fabric that’s fun and vibrant, a great contrast to the neutral exterior.

Here’s a list of all the items inside the box along with a short description, a usage tip, and even the MSRP for each.

Everything in my bag! FYI you can find tips for use and ingredients on the Ipsy app and website.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask ($14) This sleeping mask contains a combination of avocado, encapsulated retinol, and coffeeberry, which promises to get rid of dark circles and keep the skin on the under eye area firm. It has a rich texture but it sinks into my skin pretty quickly! I really like getting Glow Recipe in subscriptions, even sample sizes!

Item Beauty Lite Sauce Balancing Gel Moisturizer. Here’s a moisturizer ideal for combination and oily skin types! It came in a tube packaging which makes it easy to dispense. Ingredients include glycerin that helps retain moisture in the skin and tiger grass extract with skin soothing properties. If you’re familiar with social media personality Addison Rae, this item is from her clean beauty line!

I like the lightweight formula of this moisturizer. It nourishes and hydrates skin without leaving it greasy. It’s also great to use if you have acne-prone skin because it’s non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog your pores. This to me is a great summer moisturizer.

PÜR On Point 4-in-1 Mascara with Hemp ($4.19) Infused with hemp seed oil, this mascara helps make lashes look longer and fuller. It has a featherweight formula, and it doesn’t clump up even when you apply a couple of coats. Another thing to love about it is its anti-pollution properties! It improves my lashes, but it also helps soothe and protect. Other key ingredients are biotin, sunflower seed oil, and aloe.

Georganic From Nature Propolis Clear Peeling Pad. This pack contains 10 exfoliating pads to help get rid of dead and dry skin cells and reveal softer and smoother skin.

It contains propolis extract, centella asiatica, camellia leaf water, and hyaluronic acid, a powerful formula that boosts hydration and soothes inflammation. To use, get a fresh pad and sweep it across your cleansed face. It even helps get rid of makeup residue!

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk ($18) It’s a 2-in-1 product that works as a cream blush and as a lip color. I received it in Werk, a dusty pink shade. It’s great for everyday use as the color looks like a natural flush on my skin. It’s even infused with skin-friendly ingredients like mango butter, avocado oil, and apricot oil to keep it hydrating. This is a little odd because it’s a full size mini size! I think Milk only sells the smaller size in this, which I like, because who wants a GIANT stick of color? It would just be too much.

I’m loving the variety of items in this month’s Wanderlust themed IPSY! Two of them are makeup must-haves: the mascara and the 2-in-1 blush and lip color. As for skincare, I received exfoliating pads, moisturizer, and sleeping mask. If I have to pick a favorite among all the items, it would be the blush and lip color. I like its hydrating formula, as well as its compact packaging that makes on-the-go touch ups really easy. Its retail value is also more than enough to cover the price of the monthly box!
