Hygge Box is a monthly subscription box for those who want to surround themselves with comforting objects that contribute to a sense of coziness and general well being. You can choose from the Deluxe Hygge Box ($40 for 5-7 items) or the Standard Hygge Box ($29 for 4-5 items) and shipping is extra. Items sent may include candles, drink mixes, edibles, home decor, or wellness products.

Hygge is about preserving happiness everyday. It is slowing down, being humble, expressing gratitude, feeling safe and connecting with loved ones. Each curated box includes handpicked items like below from around the world to inspire and evoke hyggelig moments.

I love the presentation! My items were wrapped in tissue paper and snuggled into shredded paper squiggles.

The definition of hygge was on the inside of the box lid.

The theme for this box is Let Sommer.

The inside of the pamphlet described the thoughts behind this month’s box. Each item from the box was described.

Along with the description is a picture of what’s inside.

The page on the right has the additional item that is in the Deluxe Box only.

The back of the booklet discussed the merits of a hygge lifestyle.

Some of the items came in their original boxes.

Everything in my box!

FaceTory Dream Garden Elderflower Mask ($4) Since hygge is all about comfort I thought it was sweet that FaceTory calls this a comforting sheet mask! It’s supposed to hydrate the skin while calming the complexion.

FaceTory has several sheet masks available that are free from parfum, which can be irritating to the skin. Ingredients in this mask include elderflower water, tea tree oil, three types of hyaluronic acid, tea extract, and other plant extracts. Apply after cleansing and let sit up to 20 minutes. After removing go ahead and pat any remaining essence into the skin. Don’t forget to take a selfie — this mask has a floral design imprinted on the sheet!

Nyåkers Swedish Lemon Ginger Snaps ($5.50) Ginger snaps are a tasty treat and these have some lemon flavor for a change of pace!

These cookies were shipped all the way from Sweden!

This was a very crispy cookie and the lemon flavor was there and not overwhelming. I liked the spiciness and these would go great with coffee or tea.

TeaPigs Cold Brew Peach & Mango Tea ($7.99) I love tea but this is actually an herbal tisane, so there’s no caffeine and you can sip it at any time of day.

The ingredients include hibiscus, apple, peach, and mango.

The bags are plant-based and can go into your compost pile. Place a bag into 16 ounces of water and let it infuse for as long as you wish — I think I left mine about 10 minutes.

Here’s the bag in a big ol glass of water. I drank about half and then added more water, the flavor was pretty strong! It was kind of tangy but I didn’t add sugar. I liked the flavor, it was very fruity. Next time I’m going to put out a second glass of water and let the bag soak a second time before composting.

Hygge Haus Wooly Sheep Hygge Box has their own line of products available on their website and while I didn’t see this listed, it is possible it will be added in the next month or so, like previous box products. It looks like something one might buy from Etsy!

The sheep has four wooden legs and a wooden face that is drawn on with a marker. The body is wool felt and I love its curly head! It is about 4″ tall.

Hygge Haus Natur Stone String Lights Here is another item that will most likely be added to the online shop in the future, but you can find a similar item on Amazon.

It’s real fluorite crystals attached to a string of LED lights! Two AA batteries are required and you can see the lights are turned on in a previous picture (go ahead and scroll back, I’ll wait!).

Fluorite is said to absorb negative vibes and increase concentration. The crystals remind me of sea glass and are so pretty!

Hygge Box Deluxe Waves Peshtemal Towel This last item is in the Deluxe Box only. It is a thin beach towel that would double as a wrap for cool summer evenings.

I like the fringe, which is on both ends of the towel.

There’s not really any seams so you could have either way facing out, although there is a tag sewn into the lighter side. The towel was made in Turkey of 100% cotton and measures 39″ x 70″ before washing. I need a lightweight beach towel for a trip next month and I think this is perfect for my needs!

Hygge Box is one of my very favorite boxes to receive each month! The June box was filled with items that not only promote a sense of comfort, but that are also tasty and/or usable! The tea bags make it easy to drink my water by making it flavorful and fun. The cookies were also delicious and not too sweet. The towel is going with me on vacation next month while the lamb will await my return by sitting on my desk. The mask is a wonderful, comforting way to spend some me-time (#selfcaresunday), and the light string reminds me of the beach since it looks like sea glass. Once again, everything in my box will get used!
