Sip back and relax! Our tasting flight of 8 California Coastal Wines is the perfect WFH (wine-from-home) companion. Each bottle holds a large, 6-ounce pour of the finest vino around. We’re not talking over-buttery Chardonnay, either. Our wines are hidden gems of all varietals, hailing from boutique, family-run vineyards from our state’s top regions.
Here are the wines included:
Sauvignon Blanc La Pluma 2019 Central Coast
Tasting Notes: With miles of rolling hills and coastal surf towns, the Central Coast mixes cool fog with island heat to make a fresh and crisp Sauvignon Blanc. This young wine with notes of lemon verbena, grapefruit, and a piercing, peppery aroma drags you into a mouth-watering balance of acidity and flavor with no sugar and a dry finish.
Rosé La Pluma 2018 Mendocino
Tasting Notes: Blood orange, a watermelon jolly rancher. This deep gem pink rose may taste like biting into candy, but has 0 residual sugar. That’s tart fruit, not sugar that you’re tasting.
Pinot Noir Stealing Thunder Central Coast
Tasting Notes: Our Central Coast pinot noir is the perfect pairing for a cozy night in. This pinot isn’t afraid to show its true colors: hints of tart cherry and toasted strawberry stand out in this smooth and elegant red.
Syrah Stealing Thunder 2018 North Coast
Tasting Notes: Proving the syrah grape is underrated, this Syrah was hand-harvested from Mendocino county and delivered straight to the winery while the fruit was still cold. With its perfectly preserved meaty, cherry-filled, and smokey flavor, this varietal is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
Cabernet Sauvignon Balance of Powers 2017 Napa Valley
Tasting Notes: From the mecca of California winemaking. Complete with all of the qualities that made Napa Valley famous, this Cabernet presents toasted oak and currant mixed with blackberry and hints of vanilla. It’s round tannins provide a silky texture that makes this wine totally irresistible.
Red Wine Balance of Powers 2018 California
Tasting Notes: This knockout red wine is our field blend, a throwback to old California. Its foundation is zinfandel, a California flagship varietal. Barrel-aged in new French oak, this full-bodied blend has decadent aromas of toffee and butterscotch to mellow out its big, ripe cherry backbone.
Cabernet Sauvignon Fortune Favors 2018 Paso Robles
Tasting Notes: Bold, audacious, and lingering, this wine takes its cue from the region once known as a haven for renegades and bandits on the run. Its ripe and fruit flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry fruit pair with oak toast, tobacco, and spice while soft, silky tannins offer a rounded and lingering finish.
Chardonnay Fortune Favors 2019 Central Coast
Tasting Notes: Take a cool climate chardonnay, make it in a California style, and beautiful things happen. Our Central Coast chardonnay walks the line between citrus fruit and warm vanilla. Baked apple and butterscotch tones round out this luscious white wine.
