Please note that the Mama & Me shirt is shown and is different from the original Tee Shirt Society design. They also give you plenty of time to see what you think of the next month’s design. Since I am reviewing the Spotlight version, I received an item from a small business. It’s a pack of Color Street Nail Polish Strips in Munich Mulberry ($11).
The business in the spotlight only has a private Facebook group and I can’t help feeling like this isn’t what I was expecting by a small business product, as Color Street is a huge multi-level marketing brand. However, I am happy to give these a try, and I have encountered this brand before at craft fairs. Plus, the featured extra next month is a candle from a small business and I feel like that is a better fit for the Spotlight item.

The shirt brand that I received this month is Canvas Bella + Canvas. The shirt material is 99% cotton and 1% polyester. The shirt can be machine washed with warm water and tumble dried on low. This is a thin material, but considering it is currently 102° outside I don’t mind that one bit. The color is light blue with grey throughout and the decoration is also grey.
I tried the shirt on before washing to see how much it would shrink. I wanted to see more of the design so for the next pic I faced a different way.
Of course, this way it barely shows up at all! This is after washing the shirt and placing it in the dryer. It did shrink a bit, and you can see the sleeves and overall length are shorter.
I was really happy with my first shirt from Tee Shirt Society! I thought the shirts that they have featured in the past are cute and not too sassy or sappy, and are inspirational without feeling preachy. You can dress the tees up with cute sweaters or jackets in cooler weather or wear them with shorts and Keds. The shirt is soft and comfortable, and the lightweight material is perfect for summer. I appreciate that they offer several sizes, including plus sizes, and I am looking forward to trying the nail wraps, I think the color would play nicely with the color of the shirt.
