Birchbox Tip #148

Everybody needs you time. Indulge a little.

At the back, there are brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

Everything in my May 2020 box!

Daily Concepts Your Facial Microscrubber ($5) It’s a dual-texture facial scrubber designed to remove dirt and oil without being harsh on the skin.

According to the packaging, it’s made of cotton, polyamide, and polyester with polyurethane filling.

The scrubber features a pocket where you can easily slip your hand when using it. Another unique feature is its tag that fades away when it’s time for you to change your scrubber.

One side of the scrubber is textured for gentle exfoliating, while the other is softer and ideal for cleansing.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Bloom Eau De Toilette ($2.24) Flowerbomb Bloom is a refreshing floral scent, perfect for wearing whether in spring or summer.

Freesia and pomegranate dominate the scent, and there are also woody notes that tie up everything perfectly.

This perfume has impressive longevity, so there’s no need for me to re-apply often. The sillage is also pretty good!

Eyeko Brow Liner ($12) This pen is not for the lids but for the brows! It has a pointed tip for shaping and defining brows effortlessly. This is really helpful when you have sparse areas on your brows and you want to make sure they look fuller but still natural. The liquid gel is pretty awesome because it blends in with your natural brow hair.

Davines The Spotlight Circle Hair Mask ($10) This hair treatment mask came just in time to prepare my hair for summer! This formula brings back locks to life with the help of moringa oil and it works even for color-treated hair! I love that it enhances shine without fading the hair color. It’s also pretty hydrating, keeping my fine hair smooth and bouncy. The hair mask is ideally used after shampooing. Just apply it on your hair like you would apply a conditioner and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. This pack is good for 2-3 applications!

Alterna My Hair My Canvas New Beginnings Exfoliating Cleanser  ($3.81) Here’s another hair care product, and this time it’s an exfoliating hair cleanser! It’s made with lemon peel extract which works in removing impurities from the hair, as well as clarifying beads that refresh the hair and keep it nourished. It’s ideal for most hair types! To use, just massage the cleanser on wet hair and then rinse thoroughly. The formula is gentle and it didn’t strip off moisture from my scalp.

Benefit BADGal Bang! Volumizing Mascara ($8.33) Formulated with provitamin B5 and aero-particles, this mascara helps lengthen and volumize the lashes with a few swipes. The formula is water-resistant and long-lasting. Application is pretty easy as well, as it includes a flexible brush that allows even coating. If you want more dimension on your lashes, it’s recommended to layer 1-2 additional coats.

This customized Birchbox includes a couple of hair care items, some lash and brow makeup, a fragrance sample that I really liked, plus a facial scrubber! It’s a good curation in terms of variety! I loved everything, but if I have to pick a favorite, it would be the hair treatment mask. The formula worked well for my fine hair! Value-wise, this box also didn’t disappoint. The total retail value is $41, more than double the cost of the box!
