See our Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate explainer for all the details on how this subscription works!

My items were cushioned with egg crate foam. The bag was on top and folded flat.

Everything arrived in perfect condition!

I received a card from Ipsy. Sometimes it has all of my products listed plus tips, and some months, like this month, it doesn’t list them at all.

The inside just had a little pep talk.

The back of the card listed the next Choice Day (2/24). That is the day when every subscriber can choose a product for their next bag! It also had info on a monthly giveaway.

Here’s everything in our box this month! A lot of the items were in their own boxes. I love when that happens!

Glam Bag Ultimate Bag Ipsy sends some cute bags and this one is super soft too! It is made of a quilted dusty rose fabric.

It has a magenta colored Ipsy zipper pull too. I like that the branding is polite, the bag doesn’t scream “Ipsy” from the sides.

The inside is lined with magenta polyester fabric and there is a small pocket. The bag is about 9″ x 6″. I think it could double as a small clutch. The bags are great for travel but they can also be found around my bedroom, bathroom, and drawers holding nail polish and manicure equipment, perfumes, and other beauty items. Ipsy offers add-ons and bags from the other subscription levels are on there so even if you get the basic Glam Bag you could pay extra and get a matching set of bags when add-ons go live.

Skylar Hydrating Body Lotion in Capri (Sample size, $3.36) Skylar sells items like body lotion, body wash, and perfume. They even have a monthly fragrance subscription! I was excited to get one of their non-subscription items in a popular fragrance from their line. Avocado oil, coconut oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter are some of the ingredients that will leave skin soft and hydrated. The scent is a citrus blast that includes notes of bergamot, crystal musk, and lily of the valley. It smelled warmer than I was expecting, in a cozy way as opposed to a sunny way. The lotion was light and non-greasy and appropriate for spring or summer.

Feel Harmony Rose Petal Facial Mask (Full size, $55) There are a lot of roses in the ingredients list, including rose extract and rose oil, and what I think are rose petals. It smells strongly of, you guessed it, roses, although the ingredients also include perfume and that is exactly what this mask smells like.

Here is what it looks like in the jar, which is very different from how it looks on the Ipsy and feel websites. Ispy says to apply this to skin and leave on for about 10 minutes before rinsing off.

Catherine Malandrino rever de moi Dream Eau de Parfum (Sample size, $11 value) I love exploring new fragrances and this deluxe sample size smelled simply lovely. It also came with a coupon for half off on the brand’s website, and also includes an offer for a free gift (a body lotion). This scent is described as fruity floral and has notes of apple, peony, and sheer musk. It is sweet but not overwhelmingly so, and there is an inoffensive warm musk note that lingers for a long time. It reminded me of something I’ve worn before and I think that if you are familiar with Midnight Fleur by Nest, then this scent is very similar to that one.

Grace & Stella Rose Quartz Facial Roller (Full size, $29) I’ve never tried a quartz roller before but I sure had fun using this device!

Instructions were listed on the back of the box.

Cute packaging!

The piece was heavier than I was expecting and felt comfortable in my hand. It has rose quartz crystals on both sides and even the handle in the middle is quartz.

First I started by applying a face oil on my skin. I used the larger crystal and rolled it over and across my face, starting on the inside and working towards the outside. This is supposed to help move lymph and reduce puffiness. I think the idea is also to help those oils (and/or serums if you use those instead) to penetrate deeper into the skin. You could also put a sheet mask on your face and use this to smooth it out and again, help that serum cling to skin. The quartz was very cool on my face and almost felt like I was rolling an ice cube all over. I liked it!

Next I applied an eye cream under my eyes and then flipped the roller around to the smaller side. I gently rolled this under that delicate area and then used it around my nose and lips. This might help reduce puffiness in the morning but again, it felt really nice and relaxing when I used it before bed.

Tokyo Milk Handcreme Anthemoessa (Full size, $22) If there was a prize for prettiest packaging ever, it would surely go to the Margot Elena family of products!

This is just the box, I haven’t even shown the tube yet! The box included a quote from a famous poet and gold metallic touches. The ingredients were on the bottom of the box and include argan oil, shea butter, avocado oil, and cocoa butter.

The scent includes notes of jasmine, salted grapefruit, honeysuckle, and sandalwood. The handcreme is non-greasy and my skin absorbed it quickly. The scent isn’t overpowering and is a warm, sweet floral.

Doucce Cosmetics Punk Volumizer Mascara in Black (Full size, $17.99) I can always use a good mascara – with three females in my house, I will take all the mascara I can get!

This one had an interesting brush that is actually quite large. My lashes are very short so I ended up getting mascara on the rims of my eyes whenever I tried applying to my lashes. I think this brush is not for me but the mascara stayed put all day and was easy to remove before bed. I think this would do wonders for those with already long lashes!

Polaar The Genuine Lapland Cream Lip Balm (Full size, $10.89) There were some good and not so good points about this lip balm. First, the good: it has castor seed oil, shea butter, and beeswax to help keep lips soft and protected from the drying effects of the wind and cold. Extracts from three Arctic berries are supposed to provide antioxidant benefits.

I put it on before bedtime and was immediately turned off by the strong perfume scent/flavor. It reminded me of honeysuckle perfume! There is no need for perfume in lip care and keep in mind that what goes on your lips most likely goes into your mouth. I could still feel the product on my lips when I woke up in the morning but I would prefer an unscented or naturally flavored version instead.

Callyssee Better Bean Clean Face Coffee Cleanser (Sample size, $2.74) cleanses the face while providing a slight exfoliation. I found that it foamed up nicely and the exfoliating particles are provided by ground apricot seeds, and they barely touched my skin thanks to the pearly cleanser base. Coffee seed extract is supposed to brighten the skin. This is supposed to smell minty but it had a light floral perfumed scent. It removed all of my face makeup too (but don’t use near eyes!).

Shaina B Eyes on Miami Brush Set (Full size, $60 listed value) I had never tried Shaina B brushes before but I was impressed with how well they worked. I couldn’t find this set anywhere but the value of the individual brushes is $74.

I received 5 brushes that are perfect for everyday and special occasion eye makeup looks.

I liked the matte black handles and shiny rose gold ferrules and the brushes felt good in my hands when I used them. I didn’t notice any loose bristles falling off while using these. The bristles are synthetic.

From left to right we have: concealer, shadow, eye crease, blending, and smudge. I enjoyed using these to apply and blend my eye makeup from my new palette and have added them into my regular brush rotation!

Folly Fire Matte Manipulation Creamy Matte Lipstick in Sunset Boulevard (Full size, $15) According to the brand’s website, this is supposed to be long wearing with a matte finish, but without the dryness. It was a typical creamy lipstick, it didn’t last as long as my liquid matte lipsticks but then again, it didn’t leave my lips dry either.

The color is described as a “flattering rose shade” but I don’t think this looks like the color on the brand’s website, this looks a lot brighter than shown and I don’t know why the tip looks like that. The formula is creamy and looked good on my lips and is a good shade for spring since it is so vibrant. Swatched below.

Nature’s Cartel Eyeshadow Trio in Champagne Scandal, Tan Line From Tahiti, & 90’s Nude (Full size, $28) I couldn’t find this trio sold together, but they retail for $12 each, for a total value of around $36.

This was my sample choice for February!

The name of the colors was on the back of the containers. The ingredients include mineral oil so they slip on easily.

The colors were very pretty and subtly shimmery. I thought that these were going to be similar to other cream shadows I’ve tried and dry instantly. Unfortunately, they didn’t dry at all, but to be fair, there is nothing that says they are supposed to be long lasting. They stayed creamy on my eyes and they also creased within the hour. I think I will take Ipsy’s advice and top them with a powder to see if that helps increase staying power.

Here are the shadows and lipstick swatched. From top: Champagne Scandal, 90’s Nude, Tan Line From Tahiti, and Sunset Boulevard.

Violet Voss Berry Burst Fun Sized Shadow Palette (Full size, $18) I was a little worried when I saw this palette, these are not my shades at all!

Of course, Ipsy wants us to break out of our comfort zone and sometimes sends bolder color choices than what I might pick for myself.

The top row has neutral browns while the bottom row has vibrant berry tones. I used the four colors on the left (top two and bottom two) and loved them! I applied the two matte colors with a brush but used my finger to apply the foils, they go on better that way. I used a brush to blend it all together and the colors stayed on all day. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day look but also for an everyday look with a little extra sparkle. My daughter borrowed the palette and also liked the performance and colors.

Here is the top row swatched. The first color barely showed up but it makes for a good base. The color in the middle was the only foil in that row.

Here is the bottom row swatched, and the 1st, 2nd, and 4th colors are foils.

Céla Créme de la Créme (BONUS ITEM! $12) One day I opened my app and was told that I would receive a bonus item in my February box, and this is it! I don’t know if everyone received a bonus item, or even if the bonus is the same for everyone, but I am always happy to see an extra item just because. This is a body lotion, and I received it in a previous box. I like the citrus scent and it left my skin soft!

My February Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate lived up to its name! I was very happy with all of my products, and they hit a variety of beauty categories: skin care, makeup, tools and brushes, and body care. Some of my favorite items this month were the perfume, makeup brushes, quartz roller, and eye shadow palette, they all worked really well for me and are being used regularly. The bonus item was a nice surprise, and every subscriber will receive a bonus item in their March box, just in time for Ipsy’s birthday. The value for my February box was around $272.98, not including the bag or bonus item and using the lower value for two of the items! Please keep in mind that your products and value may be higher or lower since Ipsy sends a variety of bags each month.
