Surprise!

Every print arrives with a mini-interview of the artist. This month, we have Eloise Renouf, an artist from Nottingham, UK.

It gives us a glimpse of the artist’s creative process.

Everything in my pack!

“Colour Garden (Yellow)” Print. Using a Gouache medium, the artists express her love for natural forms and shapes as she also incorporates an abstract way of coloring for these shapes to create beautiful images, like this one which is shows us a nice image of a plant which has colors that are mostly shades of yellow.

The back of the artwork gives us more information about the art piece, like the print method used, display suggestions, and more. You can also appreciate the artwork more by considering some questions listed.

“Colour Garden (Pink)” Postcard. It has the same idea or concept as the first art print, and I think what differs this one from the previous artwork is the colors and shades used.

I love what she did on this one, where she also included some black and gray, not just colors or shades that are close to the main color which is pink. The effect that was created really makes the abstract art more interesting.

The back of the postcards in this box shares the art style used by the artists. For this one, there are some inspiring words from the artist:

Just make what you want to make. Actively ignore trends or fashions. Embrace what makes your work individual. Trust yourself.

Papirmass Creative Card. This month’s creative card features a beautiful quote from Dorothy Parker.

The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.

At the back, there is a nice image that you can color. They also encourage you to share the finished project on Instagram.

I feel so happy that I get to see the works and techniques of the artists featured in this subscription. I am really impressed by how they express themselves and their love for their craft through these beautiful creations. For this month, I love the media the artist is using, which is Gouache, and how she mixes and matches colors to create abstract art that looks really amazing. Papirmass definitely gives me something to beautify my home, and also gives me ideas and knowledge about artistic styles and techniques by introducing great artists and their crafts!
