Beauty Heroes is a monthly healthy beauty discovery subscription. Each box features one full-size product + sample items. Recently, they introduced new month to month membership! You can now sign up for a Beauty Heroes Discovery Boxes for just $58.95 per month. You can also opt for a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month prepay. Read the full announcement here.

The items came in a simple white box with the subscription box name. There’s also a tissue paper secured with a sticker.

The box is filled with white squiggles.

This month marks the 5th anniversary of Beauty Heroes, that’s why they included 5 HERO ITEMS (3 full-sized and 2 deluxe-sized)!

There’s a message from Beauty Heroes founder, Jeannie Jarnot.

The booklet they send is always jampacked with useful information.

The featured brands are Laurel, Josh Rosebrook, Honua, Ayuna, and Lilfox!

The items featured in the box are past favorites. The booklet comes with an item photo, plus a brief description and a reason why they chose to include it in the anniversary curation.

Everything in the September 2019 Beauty Heroes box!

Laurel Skin Sun Serum ($29.33) From the August 2016 Beauty Heroes box, this potent serum helps repair and brighten the skin using plant-based ingredients, including rosehip, red clover, bilberry, cranberry, red raspberry seed oils, and the brand’s own biodynamic blend. If you have damaged skin caused by sun exposure or other environmental stressors, this one is for you. What makes it more special is that it’s handmade in small batches. A little amount goes a long way, so I think this bottle will last me a long time. The formula is light as a feather and it’s not greasy either.

Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask ($32.50) Made with certified organic cacao, this rich mask is one of the first items from Josh Rosebrook skin care line. It’s infused with a potent blend of antioxidants and phytonutrients, leaving your skin nourished and revitalized with a youthful glow. This one is from the November 2016 Beauty Heroes box.

The formula looks thick, but applying it is a breeze. You can use either your fingers or a mask brush for application. I didn’t have problems washing it off either. There’s a little redness after using the mask, but it goes away immediately.

Honua Hawaiian Skin Care Aloha Youth Serum ($58) I’ve tried this serum from the Beauty Heroes June 2017 box, and I’m glad to have it back because it’s really good. It contains traditional Hawaiian botanicals to help keep the skin plump, radiant, and youthful. I love that it quickly sinks in my skin and there’s no trace either, so I can wear makeup afterward without problems. It also smells subtly like ylang-ylang, which is a fruity-floral scent.

Ayuna Skincare Cream II ($61.87) This face cream first appeared in the November 2017 Beauty Heroes box. It’s rich yet light, which easily gets absorbed by the skin and works well under makeup.

The formula is packed with phyto-peptides and plasmas to help improve skin’s elasticity and fights signs of aging such as wrinkles. It’s also moisturizing.

Other nourishing ingredients include jojoba, olive fruit oil, shea butter, and turmeric. It’s recommended to be used day and night for best results. Also, the scent is just right for me.

Lilfox Kalahari Brightening Eye Serum ($68) To complete this month’s curation, they included a brightening eye serum with a powerful active botanical formula. It contains cold-pressed seed oils that brighten, revitalize, tone, and hydrate the under-eye area. This one is from the October 2018 Beauty Heroes box.

It feels soothing when applied. The serum is contained in a glass rollerball that helps deliver the perfect amount of moisture to the eye area.

This month’s box is a chock-full of skin-loving goodies! What better way to celebrate their anniversary than by including FIVE hero items instead of just one? All of the items this month are past favorites, including potent serums, a cream, and a mask. They all work wonders, then and now. I love everything but if I have to pick a favorite, it would be the youth serum! It’s just so refreshing and rejuvenating, and it even gives my skin a radiant glow! I’m really impressed by this subscription, they’ve introduced me to a lot of brands and products worthy of supporting. Looking forward to future boxes!
