Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists, a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

If I see the black and white stripes, Sephora box is here!

The items were neatly packed!

The fold-out poster has a really cute illustration of this month’s theme and a lot of helpful tips on skin care and makeup. Plus, a reminder that you can now use your Play! Pass online! That little card is a PLAY! Pass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box, in-store or online. You can also get a complimentary mini makeover!

This month’s theme is Isle Of Beauty!

The fold-out poster also shows a list of all the items included in this box.

Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates. I don’t even have a Sephora (not even a JCP one) but this box totally excites me even without those experiences. I love the high-end brands every month for just $10.

The items are packed in a green transparent plastic pouch. They’re so handy, I love reusing them!

Everything in my box! See the spoilers for all the variations here. Your box could vary – it’s built off your profile!

Atelier Cologne Clementine California Cologne Absolute Pure Perfume ($2.45) Suitable for both men and women, this cologne boasts of fresh and citrusy notes from vetiver, clementine, and star anise.

The cologne sample comes with a beautiful postcard.

If you’re looking for a light and youthful scent for summer, this is it! I just wish it had more staying power so I don’t have to apply every now and then.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer ($2.56) This primer is one of the most unique ones I’ve encountered so far because it contains hemp-derived cannabis seed extract. helps keep the skin smooth, soft, and hydrated under makeup.

Other key ingredients include blue agave extract, prickly pear cactus extract, and aloe water. One or two shots would be enough to cover the whole face and neck.

The formula is as light as a feather. It gives my skin a nice glow but doesn’t make my skin oily. It also helps prolong makeup. It’s super cool to see this launch in Sephora’s box!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo ($5.18) Flat and lifeless hair no more! This shampoo is made with Patented Healthy Hair Molecule (OFPMA) and activated charcoal which gets rid of the dirt without stripping moisture. It’s ideal for fine, medium, and thick hair types, especially for those which are constantly dry. I have fine hair and this didn’t weigh it down. Aside from the gentle formula, I like its mild scent as well.

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser ($4.04) The gel-like texture of this cleanser feels so good on the skin! It removes dirt, oil, and makeup, and helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and pores as well.

Ingredients include strawberry seed oil, which hydrates and brightens the skin, and tomato extracts, known for its gentle exfoliating properties. Also, there’s none of the bad or toxic stuff like other cleansers have. You can also use this as an exfoliating mask, just leave the product on for five minutes and then rinse.

REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic ($7) Formulated with clean bio active extracts, this toner helps brighten the skin, shrink pores, and even out skin tone. It’s ideal for all skin types, including sensitive skin. There’s a slight tingling sensation when applied, but it’s tolerable and it goes away immediately. You may also opt to pat it on your skin, instead of rubbing it using a cotton pad.

Shiseido ControlledChaos Mascara Ink ($8.59) To make lashes look fuller and longer for a long time, this mascara was mixed with wax blend and film former. It was surprisingly lightweight, and I love that it’s clamp-free and smudge-free. Just one coat and my lashes looked wonderful already!

It’s a great month for Play! by Sephora, because they gave us a cohesive curation of skincare and beauty products. I love both the cleanser and the toner, which are gentle yet effective. They even included a shampoo to turn my dull and lifeless hair into soft and shiny locks. I also liked the skin-friendly primer and the lightweight mascara. This subscription makes a fun and easy way to discover new products and to test them without having to buy the full size. I love pretty much everything in this month’s box and I’m looking forward to more fantastic samples! This month had about $30 in value!!
