The box is filled to the brim!

This month’s theme is Slice Of Summer.

The booklet contains everything you need to know about the items inside the box. There’s also a message from the Tokyo Treat Crew and an instruction on how to activate your box for rewards!

Of course, there’s a list of the items we should be expecting in this month’s box.

This part of the magazine features Pepsi Refresh Shot and DIY Kit Coris Fruit Shop Soft Candy!

Discover Japan page shares a bit of Japan’s local culture every month. This month, it’s about the things Japanese do in the summer.

There’s even a word hunt activity!

Everything inside the box!

Salt & Lemon Kit Kat. This limited edition version of Kitkat is made with their famous white chocolate mixed with salt sourced from the Seto Inland Sea and lemon flavor. Each pack contains 11 individually-wrapped wafers, perfect for sharing. It does taste tart with distinct notes of sea salt, which tastes better when chilled. I also like its smooth and creamy mouthfeel.

Tohato Caramel Corn Ramune. Tohato is already a regular in Tokyo Treat boxes, and this version is probably one of the tastiest ones I’ve tried so far. It features their trademark caramel corn snack infused with ramune (carbonated drink) flavor. Each piece is lip-smacking good, with a sweet taste reminiscent of sweetened breakfast cereals.

Pepsi Refresh Shot. It’s a Pepsi drink in a can, which contains twice the amount of caffeine compared to your regular carbonated beverage. This one’s tastier and way much sweeter, it would definitely keep you energized for the whole day.

Fruit Gummies. Here’s a bunch of gummy candies in different fruit shapes and flavors, including grape, pineapple, strawberry, orange, and lemon. They’re all soft and sweet, almost jelly-like.

Pokemon Sun and Moon Gum. A wild Pokemon gum appeared! This Pokemon-themed gum is bursting with grape flavor. It’s tasty, chewy, and most importantly, long-lasting!

Mandarin Orange Gummies. It’s the gummy candy version of mandarin orange slices. They’re made with fresh orange juice, so they’re naturally tart. The cute cup container makes it easy to bring on the go.

Calbee Wasabi Potato Chips. Summer just got hotter with these crunchy wasabi-flavored potato chips. The potatoes were slow-fried, resulting in tastier and crunchier chips. I also like the wasabi flavor, it delivers just enough heat to tickle the tastebuds. This snack is best paired with sodas or even a can of ice-cold beer!

Strawberry Soft Serve. It’s ice cream in a cone! Don’t worry, it doesn’t melt despite the summer heat. This “ice cream” is actually strawberry-flavored marshmallow. It’s sweet and creamy, my kids liked it so much. There was a tangy surprise in the bottom, too!

Texas Corn Salty. We got another pack of corn puffs, and this time it boasts of a salty flavor. Each piece is light and airy, with just the right amount of saltiness. It’s great to munch on when watching TV or a movie!

Crab Biscuit. The month’s share pack features sea-themed biscuits! They’re tasty, crunchy, and easy to eat even when you’re on the go. Since they’re shaped like sea creatures, they were a hit with the kids as well.

Grape Ramune Candies. These candies are ramune and grape flavored, providing you a refreshing burst of flavor in every chew. If you’re a sour candy lover, this one’s for you!

Coris Fruit Shop Soft Candy DIY Kit. This month’s featured DIY kit is a cute fruit shop, which includes 2 molds, soft candies, and cardstock fruit stand. All you have to do is to place the soft candy inside the mold, push both sections, remove, and put the candies on the fruit stand. It’s that easy!

Umaibo Lemon. Umaibo is another Tokyo Treat staple. It’s a popular Japanese snack that features a crunchy log-shaped corn puff. They also come in different flavors. This month’s version features a delectable fruity lemon flavor, perfect for summer!

Fruit Ramune Powder Candy. The strawberry that you’ll initially see in the package is actually the container for smaller candies. They’re infused with ramune flavor, producing tingly bubbles when put inside your mouth!

Summer is the season when fruity and refreshing snacks are served! This month’s Tokyo Treat box brought us another bunch of tasty Japanese snacks, and many of them are fruit-flavored. From candies to puffed snacks, there’s something for every member of our family. We even got a can of Pepsi, and it’s not just the usual carbonated beverage we love. It has double the caffeine content, perfect for those who need an extra boost of energy. We love all the snacks this month, but if there’s one that stood out and one that I’d like to have again, it’s the salt and lemon-flavored Kitkat! I’ve never tasted anything quite like it before. If you love Japanese snacks like us, Tokyo Treat is a great way to get your fix every month!
