This is a review of the Premium box!

There are LOTS of snacks in this box!

The theme for the month of May is TABEHOUDAI!

They encourage subscribers to upload their Japan Crate photos on social media using #JAPANCRATE for a chance to be featured on the next month’s issue!

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

The tiers are cumulative, so our Premium Box has everything on the page!

It also includes food and cultural information about Japan.

Everything in my May 2019 box!

Pizza-La Italian Chips. The flavors of Italian pizza were infused in these crunchy chips that look like Doritos. I can definitely taste the harmonious blend of herbs, tomato, and cheese in every bite. They’re super tasty. This snack is a collaboration between Fritolay and Pizza-La, a popular pizza chain in Japan. It’s limited edition and I’m so glad I got to try it!

Hamburger Gummy. These yummy gummies are stacked like burgers, even colored like its components! They’re soft, chewy, and delicious, too bad we only got one pack.

Star Precure Gum. It’s a strawberry-flavored gummy that features Star Twinkle PreCure, a Japanese anime series, on the wrapper.

Transportation Land Chocolate. The fastest mode of transportation in Japan is the bullet train, and it’s featured on the packaging of these chocolates. The chocolates look like M&M’s because they’re covered with a crispy candy coating.

Transformation Glass Card Gum. The pack comes with a sweet soda flavored gummy and a cute glass card that features an adorable eye-design.

Strong Garlic Butter. We got another bag of crunchy potato chips, and this time it is garlic butter flavored. The wavy chips are strongly flavored, but not to the point that they’re overwhelming. I enjoyed munching on them!

Chocolate Kinako Mochi DIY. For this month’s DIY candy, we’re making chocolate mochi! The kit includes a plastic tray, mochi, chocolate sauce packet, kinako pouch, and a plastic fork. To start, simply put the mochi, chocolate sauce, and kinako on the empty sections of the tray. Using the plastic fork, pierce the mochi and dip it in your chocolate sauce. Plunge the mochi with chocolate into the powder, let the kinako powder stick on it, then enjoy!

Chocolate Umaibo. Umaibo is a staple in Japanese snack boxes. But unlike the usual cylindrical one, this month’s Umaibo cracker features a unique bite-sized spherical corn puffs. The pack contains 4-pieces of deliciously puff crackers with creamy chocolate fillings.

Ice Stick Lollipop. This colorful lollipop features assorted fruity flavors, such as orange, peach, and strawberry. It’s so sweet!

Apple Soda Gummy. It’s a bottle-shaped chewy gummy treat sprinkled with sweet sugar powder. It features an apple soda flavor and it gets better as you chew on it!

Chocolate Egg Pokemon. This month’s bonus item is a super cute Pokemon-themed treat. Inside the box is egg-shaped milky chocolate with a colorful wrapping. You can crack it open to see the exclusive toy hidden inside it. We got a Snorlax! Aside from the pocket monster, the egg container also includes a cute pokemon sticker.

Bake Matcha. This snack is crunchy on the outside, with a smooth and creamy filling inside. This matcha-flavored treat is baked to perfection. It’s easy to eat and filling, perfect for on-the-go snacking.

Fettuccine White Peach Gummy. These are the sweetest and the chewiest peach-flavored gummy strips ever made. Each piece feels refreshing in the mouth. I also like their aromatic scent.

Dragon Ball Chocolate. It’s a Dragon Ball-themed wafer biscuit. Inside the pack are a crispy wafer biscuit and an exclusive sticker featuring Vegeta in his Super Saiyan Blue mode!

Koala March Cream Pudding. It’s a famous Japanese snack made with buttery biscuit filled with creamy pudding filling. Each bite-sized biscuit features a cute koala shape and stamp on top, adding cuteness on every bite. This snack is best be paired with your fave tea, coffee, or even milk.

Jalapeno & Onion Pringles. This version of Pringles features a unique blend of jalapeno and onion flavor. As usual, the patented potato chips are crunchy and showered with the perfect amount of seasonings.

Jeleets Coffee Jelly Drink. Jelly in coffee is truly unbeatable! This drink combines coffee with coffee and cream jellies, making a great morning pick-me-up. It tastes best when chilled!

Koeda Purple Potato. Purple sweet potato is a well-known seasonal ingredient in Japan. In this snack, it’s blended with chocolate that resulted in crispy and sweet snack bites.

Japan Crate Premium brought us another box full of scrumptious snacks to try! They covered every type of craving, but my favorite is the savory snacks, particularly the potato chips. There was also a bunch of delicious gummy treats that my kids loved. Although this subscription has been with us for quite a long time, they were still able to keep us excited with their new goodies. If you want to know more about Japanese culture or you simply want new snacks every month, this is the ideal box for you!
