BOXYCHARM is a makeup and beauty subscription box that sends out 4-5 deluxe and full-size samples every month. In the past, the items have been mostly full-size products and the boxes have been able to maintain an amazingly high value.

There’s a cute information card on top of the items.

The items are neatly packaged with an egg foam at the top and side to secure all of them.

The January 2019 theme is BOXY & CHILL!

The information card lists all the products in the box, together with a brief description.

Everything in my January 2019 BOXYCHARM! There are variations in the box – see them here.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Sheet Mask ($24 – 2 pack) Oh, Tatcha! This brand always gets me excited. This is a silky soft, skin-fitting sheet mask that offers solutions for revitalizing skin and making it youthful. It delivers ultra-hydrating botanical oils and extracts, leaving an instant luminous skin. It is packed with vitamin E, essential fatty acids and infused with anti-aging superfoods like green tea and algae. The sheet is 100 times thinner than a strand of hair but delivers 20 ml of serum that is fully absorbed by the skin. To use, leave it on for a good 15 minutes and then massage the remaining serum after peeling it off.

Starlooks Professional Cosmetics Luxe Longwear Gem Eye Pencils ($19) It’s a mechanical eye pencil that you can extend and retract without the difficulties of finding a sharpener or the mess of it. It can be easily applied without tugging and with precision. The pigment is buildable but it can be thick when applied the first time.

It’s a big help to be able to manipulate how much you want to use. It is long-lasting too. This product is launched exclusively for this box, so we get to be the first ones to use it!

Rainforest Of The Sea Limited-Edition Highlighting Eyeshadow Palette Vol. III ($36) Vegan, creamy and crease-free, this eyeshadow palette has 8 lid-lifting, highlighting shades without any primer needed. It is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten.

There are instructions in the card to maximize the use of the palette. It could help you if you are new to blending and using makeup.

These are the shades in the palette: Escape (nude pink luster), Tiki (matte beige), Heatwave (pink luster), Malibu (plum bronze), Rays (peachy copper), Compass (champagne), Jewel (copper) and Treasure (pearlescent). You can create a lot of different looks using this, from simple to bold.

The palette has oxygenated light-reflecting spheres with part cream, part powder texture, and antioxidant-charged marine plant extracts that help hydrate and protects the lids. It’s like having makeup and skin care in 1. As usual, the packaging is cool and modern.

Briogeo Leave-In Mask ($14) This is a leave-in deep conditioner that strengthens and repairs the hair in-shower, in between washes and heat styling. It restores the hydration and nutrients while enhancing shine and manageability. When using, focus on the middle part and ends of your damp hair when spraying it. Be sure that you comb through instead of rinsing the product out.

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick ($20) The collection of this lipstick is the product of collaboration between Ofra and Youtuber Kathleen Lights. It has a long-lasting color but be sure to let it set before eating or drinking. It has minimal transfer but has a lightweight formula.

The lips feel softer and smoother to apply lipstick on because the formula is infused with Vitamin A and antioxidants. It does have a disclaimer that the shade might appear different from their website as it depends on the skin tone.

The swatches of the eye shadow palette are gorgeous. Love the berry shade of the lipstick, too!

We’ve got a mix of makeup and skincare goodies as usual. The Tarte eyeshadow palette is fabulous. The disclaimer is also true, the liquid lipstick did appear like it was a different shade from the website. It became a sweet berry shade instead of the dark brown shade I expected. The eyeliner pencil is okay, I like that it is mechanical and I don’t need to bring an extra sharpener in my kit. I’ve always loved Tatcha and I’m happy they included 2 masks. The leave in conditioner is a good addition for hair care too. It’s a good curation overall with a total of $115 in product this month!
