I found a card with info on the main item this month, COCHINITOS!

The back of the card gave a bit of info on each item in the box, plus details on how you can share your pictures on social media for a chance to win a mole bundle box.

The items were breakable and were wrapped in a big bundle of bubble wrap.

Each bowl was individually cocooned too.

Everything in my box! My box looked a little light this month so I went back to the card and discovered that the spoons were missing from the box.

Last month’s box came with a pig-shaped molcajete (read all about it here) and these bowls were designed to complete the look. The colors reflect the bright shades found in Mexico.

See, they have little piggy faces! These bowls are not meant for the microwave or the dishwasher; hand-wash only please!

The bowls are hand-made in Mexico by artist Rolando Regino Porras. The paint is lead-free and each bowl is 6″ across and 4″ tall.

Hecho en Mexico = Made in Mexico.

I couldn’t find anything similar to these bowls on the internet so I think that they are unique and I love that MyCajita Box had them made to match last month’s molcajete. I found a set of 3 bowls and a plate by the artist for sale for $63.09 on another site so I think that is a fair value to place on this 4-piece set. We reached out to MyCajita to see about replacing the spoons and was told they were on the way but after 20 days I still haven’t received them.

What do you think about this month’s box?

The spoons showed up after the post was published but they did show up and they are cute and sturdy.
