Play! by Sephora recently released a limited edition box for $20! It’s called PLAY! SMARTS by Sephora Skincare By Age 30 and it promises six trial-size eye products from brands like stila, OLEHENRIKSEN, Grande Cosmetics, and Bite Beauty. Purchasers will also get access to an exclusive live-streamed beauty crash course, plus a limited-edition beauty bag, informational SMART cards for each product, and a SMART pass good for 50 bonus Beauty Insider points with in-store purchase.

The PLAY! SMARTS by Sephora Skincare By Age 30 box is still available!

On the flap of the box are suggestions on what to do with your box.

There’s no extra packaging, after the card you can already see the round mint green pouch!

We are welcomed by this turquoise envelope.

Inside it are the product cards, and essential information about the online crash course online entitled ‘Skincare By Age 30’!

This card is a PLAY! Pass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box, in-store only.

The crash course will be available on Sephora’s Youtube channel. In case you miss out the live broadcast, you will still be able to access the replay anytime. I wasn’t wowed by this – I would expect this content to be purchaser-only.

The reusable disc pouch is so cool!

Everything in my Limited Edition box!

We have our special cards and our 6 lovely loot!

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse ($6.33) Yay Tatcha! We love this brand. Facial cleansers like this can also be a solution for your visible pores and uneven texture that may start to emerge in your 30s.

Cleaning your face to help unclog pores is really important especially before bedtime!

This daily gel cleanser promises poreless looking skin while preventing oiliness, dullness, and uneven skin texture. It has a Japanese natural fruit exfoliant and powerful botanicals that deeply remove impurities without being too harsh or drying on the skin. It is gentle on skin, so you can use it daily!

It lathers into a creamy foam to the wet face. A small amount can go a long way. Gently massage and avoid the eye area and then rinse off.

Fresh Black-Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate ($13.60) It’s an innovative cooling treatment for the eyes to reduce the visible signs of aging and appearance of dark circles. This also firms the eye area as it serves as a moisturizing power nap for the eyes. It offers solution for dark circles, puffiness, and loss of elasticity.

I love that this card illustrates a specific time and what order in the beauty routine where you can use the eye cream.

You can use it daily during the morning and evening. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. The black tea complex inhibits and protects the skin from the damaging free radicals. Apply before concealer to effectively revive and depuff the eyes.  Fingers crossed for those dark circles!

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 ($6.40) It’s a sun protection that is totally lightweight, scentless, and makeup-gripping.

The formula contains red algae and meadowfoam seed oil that protects the skin from blue light and hydrates for more even skin texture. It has SPF40 that also aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and dryness.

Apply the sunscreen after you cleanse, tone, and moisturize and just before makeup. If you have dry skin, you can apply moisturizer first.

Kiehl’s Since 1851 Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash ($3.78) This deep cleansing gel turns to a foaming face wash. It smoothens the skin and helps eliminate oiliness and uneven texture. The formula is paraben-free.

Ingredients include calendula and glycerin, which makes the skin refreshed and revitalized.

To use, gently massage with small amount into the damp face in upward and circular motions. Avoid the eye area and rinse off. Although it says foaming, I didn’t find it super foamy, but I did find that it was really stripping for my dry skin (it really is obviously for oily skin). I saved the rest for heavy duty cleaning (like arm swatches!).

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peels ($8.80) It’s a potent peel that combats signs of aging to correct dullness and uneven skin texture. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles, inhibits acne and blemishes, and aids in tightening pores. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

It’s a two-step peel in a separate sachet packaging. You have to apply the two steps once a day. You can apply the first step with circular motions until the pad feels dry. Let the formula be absorbed into the skin for 2 minutes and then proceed to the second pad using the same circular motion technique. It is good for day or night use.

The two sachet packets are together so it is easier to distinguish the first step from the second step. Take note of the precautions about sun and peels!

Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the Sea ($7.57) Hyaluronic acid and algae with sea salts are combined in this hydrating, protecting, and revitalizing gel.

It hydrates the skin with electrolytes and refreshes parched skin to avoid dryness, dullness and uneven texture, loss of firmness and elasticity. The gel feels cool on the skin. It’s also vegan and hypoallergenic.

The formula gets quickly absorbed by the skin so there’s no greasy feel – a perfect hydrating step for skin that’s starting to age but doesn’t yet need overly heavy duty products yet!

The front of each card features fast facts and the back has the order of the beauty routine where you can use each specific product. The illustrations can make it easier for you to have a grasp of how to use each product and maximize their benefits through their tips. The products are all a must-try and this box is a great way to start updating your skin routine. They are all lightweight on the skin yet hydrating and it’s important to use skin care products that you are comfortable with. Like with all of the skin-by-age products in the market, you might find some of these too light or just too much – so you can just adjust the age you get (or get all of the boxes so you can try them all!!).

What did you think of the PLAY! SMARTS by Sephora Skincare By Age 30 ? While supplies last this box is still available for purchase!
