Beauteque offers two ways to get your fill of (mostly) Korean beauty products each month: BB Bag contains 6-8 full-sized products such as makeup, skin care, body care, and more for $24 per month; Mask Maven brings you 9 different masks for $15. Both subscriptions are offered in 1, 3, 6, or 12-month terms that will automatically renew until canceled. This month the masks came in a pretty holo rainbow mailer instead of the box.
DEAL: Save 10% on the BB bag or Mask Maven with coupon code CRATEJOY10.
This month’s theme is But First, Brunch!
The information sheet has information about all the masks included.
Esfolio Egg Mask — I’ve sung praises about Esfolio’s masks in the past, and I’m happy to add another mask to the collection. Egg yolk is an ingredient that I haven’t explored much, but it’s said to tighten the skin. Ginseng is another ingredient that I’m familiar with as it is an important ingredient in hanbang (traditional Korean skincare). It’s energizing and revitalizing and always makes my skin look refreshed!
My Real Skin Egg White Mask — Similar to the Esfolio mask, this one uses egg whites for a similar tightening effect. I’ll be interested to see how they compare against one another.
Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Recipe Mask — YASSSS PAPA RECIPE!!! I absolutely love this company. The story behind the name is that it was a father who wanted to find safe skincare for his daughter, so he started his own line. The masks are unique for their honeycomb textured pattern (to help it adhere to the skin) and the sweet honey scent. The info slip says I was to be sent the Black Honey variation, but this is the standard one. That’s totally fine with me because I love them all! The main ingredients are honey and propolis, which is another bee byproduct. Honey is amazing for skin, with antibacterial powers, healing powers, and so much more.
Honey Milk Candy Mask — Candy Lady was a brand introduced to me through Mask Maven a few boxes ago and I love their fun, candy-inspired masks. The notable ingredients include honey, rosemary extract (an antioxidant), and milk protein which is said to have peptides and calcium.
Yogurt Bonimini Pack — Mask Maven always includes some sort of special mask, whether it’s a hand mask, foot mask, or a wash off pack. This is a cute little peel off mask scented with strawberry. After you’ve smoothed it onto your skin evenly, wait for it to dry and then peel it off. It’s so satisfying if it comes off in one giant piece shaped like your face! I find these are more fun than effective, but this one promises a brightening effect due to the vitamin C in the strawberries.
The information sheet mistakenly says this is the green tea wash off mask, which is in identical packaging but is completely different.
Annie’s Way Black Tea Mask — I’ve tried almost all of these lovely masks by Taiwanese beauty company Annie’s Way. They fit well, are loaded with good skin stuff, and are comfortable to wear. This is the black tea variation which is loaded with antioxidants.
Foodaholic Pomegranat Mask — Loaded with antioxidants, pomegranates also help exfoliate dead skin cells to leave behind a glowing complexion.
The Saem Natural Tox Tomato Mask — The Natural Tox line features fruits and veggies that help detoxify skin. This is the tomato variety which promises to tighten skin and improve elasticity.
The Saem Natural Oatmeal Sheet Mask — I tried this one last night and really enjoyed it. Soft mask sheet, subtle scent, and fit my face well. When I think of oatmeal, I think of soothing, and I really felt like my face was soft and soothed once I removed the mask. This would be a good mask if you are prone to redness.
Mask Maven always shows up when I’m running out of sheet masks! I love the variety they always send and the value is always fantastic! The brunch theme was so fun and creative! I was most excited to see a Papa Recipe mask included!
