A quick peek at what was in our account this month for the Amazon STEM Club subscription! Available for 3 age groups, boxes are $19.99 per month!

STEM Club is a monthly program that delivers handpicked, high-quality Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math toys to your door at a great price. Each month you will receive a different, age-appropriate STEM toy that will encourage your child to learn through play. From robotics to natural sciences, there’s always a new discovery on the way.

The toys you receive may be different than what others (including us) will receive. You can take a peek at your selections on your order anniversary in your Amazon.com Orders section.

TIP: Set a calendar reminder to check your Amazon account to check if you want to get the kit assigned to you that month. If you’re not interested – just cancel the order (no need to cancel your subscription).

I was so excited thinking we were going to get the Kinetic Sand, but we received “Learning Resources Gears! Gears! Gears! Super Building Set, 150 Pieces.” 🙁
I wonder how they decide what to send you? I wonder if it is by age within the age group, or how long you have been getting the toys? Is there a way to find out before they send the toy?

Yes I have the instructions in this post on how to do it and that the items may be different. If you don’t like it and you miss canceling it, you can also return it. We use our local Amazon store to return for free. We skip a bunch of them because they are similar to previous toys, but like to post our assigned toys for the month so people can see the variety. We did get the sand this month and actually bought more to fill up the case – we’re gifting it to our brand new four year old at his bday party today.

As for how they pick, it’s not entirely clear. In the past there were months that we were assigned the same toy that we had already skipped/canceled but that hasn’t been the case. It also depends on your exact renewal date. Anyways I just have a recurring reminder on my calendar to check the orders generated (mine are up on the 25th) and I cancel the orders if I don’t want to receive the toy. -Brandy
