WhiskerBox is a themed monthly cat subscription box that features artisanal luxury items for your kitty. Four items are included which can be “stylish apparel, stimulating toys, scrumptious treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures from around the world.” If your kitty is on a special diet then you can opt for non-edible items. A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased. The luxury kitty box ships free to the United States and Canada.
Some of the items I received wouldn’t fit in the regular box so the box was placed in a mailing envelope with those items.

Here’s that classic box!
The rest of the items were in the box.
Oohh, a mystery box!
Hmm, looks like boxes will be an assortment of items this month so don’t be surprised it your box looks nothing at all like mine.
Patch Cat Wood & Fibers Wand Balls Well, placing this in a bag didn’t work so well since one of the toys was broken.
Yikes! I cut the ball off the string and threw the rest of it away.
I teased Sunny with the remaining toy. The ball is made of natural fiber but it is heavy. Please don’t swing this at your pet because they might get hurt.
Even Zoey batted it for a while.
Petstages Moving Tail Mouse ($11.99) Here is another large product that wouldn’t fit in the box.
It looks like a large mouse and has a fuzzy tail on the back.
Batteries not included. After finding 2 AAA batteries were ready to begin.
You switch it on and then place it on the suction cup and attach to the floor. The suction cup didn’t actually stick to the floor.
For the next 15 minutes, the tail will move from side to side every 30 seconds. This is supposed to help stimulate the cats hunting drive.
It makes a squeaking sound accompanied by a grinding kind of sound (think of a child’s battery operated toy with the batteries wearing out) every time it moves and although my cats liked it a first, they usually stopped responding after a few tail swishes.
Whiskerbox Protective Tape I was completely baffled as to what this product was, why it was in the box, and what the heck I was supposed to use it for!
Seriously! What the heck is this? Is it for first aid or what? I don’t believe I have ever seen anything like this. It has fabric on the outside and tape on the inside. Does it go around a bandage? What is its purpose? How is it protective? What is it protecting? I just don’t get it.
Cat Couture Hoodie Pet Sweater (Similar item available here for $6.20) Again, I’m not sure how “personalized” this box is this month. This looks like a Fair Isle knit sweater for pets. It was 109 degrees here in Austin today. We are on day 46 of 100+ degree days for this year and I don’t expect it to get cooler anytime soon.
Wait, are those Mickey Mouse heads? My cats are not into clothes and want to stay naked for the rest of summer, which lasts about another 2-3 months here in Texas. I found this specifically listed as a dog sweater, it says size medium, and is made of acrylic. It is too small for either of my cats.
I think WhiskerBox usually puts out a really nice box but I can’t help feeling like they were cleaning house this month. The toys were ok but the tape was way out there and the sweater is better for winter. The mouse kept their interest for a while and one of the stick toys was fun to use to lure the cat around the house.
