Every month we get a little information card with the theme, the list of items and a monthly daily practice. This month’s theme is Bliss Out! Every thing in this box has been hand picked to nurture our Meditation rituals.

We have a fun step-by-step and information about creating a daily meditation practice. You’ll also be able to access in the incoming weeks and months different meditations through Yogi Surprise’s emails and website.

The back of the information card has a list of all the items.

Everything in this month’s box.

Tibetan Singing Bowl Set by Ohm Store. I think that this is the highlight of this box! I was so excited to get my own singing bowl! It’s perfect for sound meditation and just the movement of the wooden mallet around the bowl is soothing.

It comes with a cushion and a wooden striker. The cushion is not necessary to make the bowl sing, but it prevents the hand to hold the bowl tightly, killing the sound before it even started! Once you get the movement, it’s pretty easy to get a lovely sound going, as long as you listen to the bowl and speed up or slow down your movements. Also, one trick is to not use the wrist to move the mallet around the bowl, but the whole arm and holding the mallet tightly in your hand.

Bee Lucia Lavender & Amethyst Wellness Candle. Amethyst is an awesome gemstone for meditation as it helps intuition and is related to the Crown Chakra. It’s also a protective stone and helps to relieve stress. Lavender is associated to relaxation and is a soothing scent.

This is a lovely candle, and even though I really don’t like lavender, it has an undertone of lemongrass and basalm, which give it a nice grounding scent. I still don’t like lavender and I wish we would sometimes have a different scent like jasmine or chamomile.

Hamsa Anklet by Matr Boomie. A fun dark blue and golden anklet, it is lightweight, adjustable and perfect for summer.

We are supposed to wear this anklet to ground ourselves during meditation as the hamsa is a symbol of abundance, goodness and an invitation to flow with energy. I say that it is perfect to wear in the summer to remind us to be in the moment!

A little Bit of Meditation by Amy Leigh Mercree. From amazon:

An easy-to-use, informative introduction to one of today’s most popular spiritual practices: meditation.
Meditation is a proven method of finding calm and coping with our crazy world. Amy Leigh Mercree explores the history of this ancient practice as well as its practical applications—including decreased anxiety and a more contented life. In addition to outlining the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual ramifications of meditating, she includes a selection of easy-to-follow guided meditations.

A cute and small book, this book is full of information. I love the format as I can carry it with me in my purse or my bag.

This is a great little book to know more about meditation as it something awesome for your mind and body, but it’s sometimes difficult to understand what you are supposed to do, and where to start.

Derma-E 3-in-1 Hair Protection Serum. This is a thick, heavily coconut scented conditioning leave-in serum. It contains rosehip and coconut oils and other nice ingredients to help moisturize and strengthen dry and damaged hair.

To be honest, I don’t use any products in my hair, beside shampoo (not even conditioner), so I don’t even know how to apply it and what to expect. It smells good, and I’ll definitely give it a go as my hair is dryer than the Sahara, even in humid condition.

As a bonus, we get 14 chants for meditation than we can download. Sweet!

I love this month’s box, thanks to the nice singing bowl to try some sound meditation! I’m also really happy when I get a book in a box, and being able to learn more about meditation is awesome! The anklet, although simple, is a great addition especially with summer around the corner! Overall, I’m really enjoying this new direction for Yogi Surprise with its monthly daily practice and the nurturing offerings!
