Here’s a note from POPSUGAR Founder and President, Lisa Sugar. Get ready to relax – this themed box was all about chilling out for summer. Pass the rosé!

POPSUGAR is generous this month as they gave us discounts to multiple brands!

Everything in the Summer 2018 box!

Eberjey Wrap Robe ($88) The magazine features the founder of Eberjey, Mariela Rovito. She talked about the brand, her favorites, inspiration, and tips for self-care. Of course, she also talked about the wrap robe!

This robe is perfect for a DIY home spa day. It was wrapped in a simple plastic pouch with the brand logo on it. Subscribers were able to customize their boxes with their size – it was available in S/M (up to size 8), L/XL (Size 10-18), and XXL (Size 20+). They ran out of XXLs but did restock. I hope that data helps them shape future choices appropriately.

Made with breathable jersey fabric, it’s soft and very comfortable to wear around the house.

It’s also thin and breathable, with a nice length which is not too short nor too long but provides enough coverage. It’s definitely on the sheer side so this is probably a wear this robe in your own space item!

Beauty By Popsugar Be The Boss Lip Gloss ($18) Unsurprisingly Beauty by POPSUGAR made its first appearance in the new quarterly box. Packed with ingredients like shea butter and soybean oil, this lip gloss adds a nice shine on your lips and keeps them nourished all day. It also contains vitamin C and E, plus it’s paraben-free.

I got it in Time After Time, a dusty mauve shade.

It is tinted but sheer on the lips. If you want to make the color more noticeable, you can apply multiple coats. I like that it doesn’t feel tacky at all!

There’s a card about the origins of Beauty by PopSugar new makeup line.

As a complete makeup line should, they offer lip balms, lipsticks, eyebrow, eye shadows, eyeliner, highlighter, mascara, and even a tinted moisturizer with SPF!

Sphynx 3-in-1 Portable Razor ($14.99) This portable kit includes an innovative razor, a pre-shave bar, and a water spray bottle.

The purple portable razor is in a very cute polka dot packaging. You can bring it to the gym for a post-workout shave, or when traveling.

The packaging indicates the steps on how to use the razor. Weighing 8.5 grams, it’s pretty lightweight and compact.

If I hadn’t known this is a razor, I would’ve guessed that it’s a dental floss or a tape measure. It has 4 subtle illustrations at the knob, so you can know which product side you are using and won’t be confused.

It is important to regularly clean and change the blades to avoid razor bumps, irritation, or unnecessary cuts on the skin.

The first step is to spray water to the part you are shaving.

The second step is to moisturize the part you sprayed with water. The lathering shaving bar works to make the blade glides smoothly on your skin.

The third step, of course, is to shave away!

There are two blades in this razor. Just in case the first one is clogged, the next one in the knob can be a backup.

It is a single razor and you can remove it for easy cleaning with a paper towel or running water.

This is such a cool idea and really on point for when you want a last minute shave or touchup. Totally new to me!

Mela Artisans Concha Round Box ($60) This decorative box with a lid came from the artisans of Sambal, India. A portion of earned revenue from these items helps preserve local traditions.

The body is made of wood, while the lid includes brass and mother of pearl. It can be used to store accessories and other small valuables, or simply as a decorative centerpiece on a table.

The pearly pieces each have different patterns and hues, and they were intricately put together to create a wonderful pattern. I’m impressed by the quality!

Lele Sadoughi Circle Garland Earring ($98) Wow, these earrings sure are expensive! Rightfully so, because they are so beautiful and I can’t take my eyes off them. It will definitely be a showstopper when worn.

You can really see how great the quality is with the 1/2 diameter howlite, marble and resin disks connected by 14k gold plated rings and surgical steel post. After all that, they are still lightweight on my ears. I just absolutely adore this design, they are my favorite item! There wasn’t a non-pierced alternative item in this box – perhaps in future seasons they’ll make that an option?

I love Sunday Riley and I’m happy that it’s included in the box!

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85) Packed with vitamin C, this serum promises both instant moisture and long-term results like fading dark spots and boosting the skin’s bounce factor.

It suits all skin types and it’s free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. The texture is quite creamy, but it doesn’t leave any greasy residue.

You can apply one to two pumps of this serum to neck, chest, and face in the morning and at night for best results. It is potent but light and it did hydrate my face instantly. It also helped minimize my pores and energized my tired skin. I have used this in the past and I think it really makes a difference!

These pages talk about Ahmad Tea of London (we got a bunch in this box) and Mrs. Meyer’s daily bar soap and sanitizer.

Ahmad Tea Fruit & Herb Selection ($4.50) I’m not into teas, but these seem to be healthy blends that a true tea enthusiast will enjoy.

Ahmad Tea is a UK-based family business, now in its fourth generation of tea blending and tasting experience. Founded on a passion for the finest tea, we are dedicated to the unique place that tea drinking commands at the heart of daily life in Britain and beyond.

We got 5 tea bags of each variant: Detox, Chamomile & Lemongrass, Lemon & Ginger, and Peppermint & Lemon.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lemon Verbena Bar Soap ($3.99) I could already smell the citrus scent even when it was still wrapped up. This is a 98% vegetable-based soap that is milled three times to make the lather rich and creamy.

The main ingredients are olive oil and coconut oil, while the essential oils in this bar are responsible for the fresh smell.

It smells so good and it is moisturizing too! It doesn’t melt as easily as the other soap bars even though I use it every day.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lavender Scent Hand Sanitizer ($3.49) It is important for me to keep my hands clean and hydrated all the time. This scented hand sanitizer is packed with aloe vera extract, which made my hands feel clean without stripping it of necessary moisture.  I could do with a fancy hand sanitizer in just about every subscription – I love them!

Propel Watermelon Powder ($1.98) Propel comes also from the makers of Gatorade. You can mix one packet with water and you will be hydrated with vitamins and electrolytes in no time.

They can be a substitute for sodas. Even though they are a tad sweet, there are no artificial flavors used which is great.

There are 10 packets in the box. All of them are watermelon-flavored and sugar-free!

This was a special extra (sponsored item).

The company is partnering with studios across the country to facilitate a one-of-a-kind workout experience. You can grab tickets at propelcolabs.com/popsugar.

They all have schedules already and the last one is on August 11. I think it is a good idea for people to get involved with healthy activities and make it fun for them.

It will be a great bonding experience for all health and fitness buffs!

The box has a whopping retail vaIue of $378! Where else can you get all these luxurious items for just $75? Aside from the value, I’m also impressed by the curation itself, which was cohesive enough to hit the highlights of the relaxing spa theme without being 100% a spa box. Many of the brands featured this quarter also support natural products and that is also a win! Turning to quarterly boxes was really a good move for POPSUGAR, I think it helped them to choose better items which are also focused on the theme, although some things seem like a bit of an odd duck in a pricier quarterly box, although I still liked them. It’s more of a cross between a limited edition box and a monthly box than a totally luxe edition. It will be a long wait for the next box, but I’m already excited!
