Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription service that sends 5 new items each month so you can try before you buy. Birchbox is $10 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box.

This is a review of a regular, non-curated box.

DEAL:For a limited time use coupon code FREEJOUER to get a FREE full-size Jouer Lip Enhancer (a $16 value!) with your first month of a Birchbox subscription!

The co-founder has some notes for you too!

This month’s theme is Reboot Your Routine. The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in my April box!

Lipstick Queen Lip Liner In Natural ($9) Packed with natural antioxidants, this lip liner provides rich color and nice coverage. It glides well on the lips, and doesn’t dry them out.

The tip is perfect for giving your lips that perfect line. And, this pencil is half the full size!

Here’s the swatch! I got the lip liner in Natural, which is a bit darker than my actual lip color. It’s well-pigmented, transfer-resistant, and waterproof too!

Ouai Hair Care Volume Spray ($4.65)  I love how this mist helps me keep my hair bouncy and shiny. It’s lightweight and non-greasy too! It works best if you have fine and flat hair (like mine – this was my sample choice!). You just have to spray it on your damp hair, from root to tip, before blow drying. Ingredients include hibiscus extract and panthenol.

Coola Dawn Patrol Classic Primer ($7.14) Formulated with honeysuckle, white lily, and iris stem cells, this primer helps conceal fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. The formula is silky and lightweight, making your skin a smooth canvas for makeup. It’s also non-drying, thanks to natural cucumber essence. Ideal whether applied alone or before foundation. It’s super velvety – almost fluffy – and I saw a noticeable difference in making my makeup stay put!

Oribe Hair Plumping Mousse ($5.47) This hair mousse is packed with panthenol that volumizes your hair and sunflower seed oil that keeps it moisturized and nourished. It makes hair look full yet soft, and even provides heat protection. It’s color and keratin treatment safe too. Love this high end brand, and this is a great choice for my profile!

Derma-E Hydrating Night Cream ($7.38) Ideal for nighttime use, this facial cream provides moisture while reducing lines and wrinkles on your skin. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, vitamin E, and soothing aloe. It’s hydrating without being too heavy.

It’s ideal for anyone who has dry skin and can be worn under makeup too. This did make my skin tingle a bit though, although no lasting effects.

I’m quite happy with my April regular Birchbox, which has an overall retail value of about $34! Two items are specifically for fine hair, which I can both use to keep my hair from being limp and lifeless. There are also skin care products and a gorgeous lip liner, which suits my lifestyle and my skin tone. This box is always a delight to receive because I get to try an array of beauty brands and items each month for just $10!
