It’s April but this box still brings Christmas feels! This was totally unexpected and didn’t seem related to the subscription at all, but it was absolutely adorable. We kept this box and repurposed it, because we loved it so much!

The box is so cute, with a reindeer, trees, and snowflakes all over.

Under the bubble wrap are more peanuts. The box had plenty of packing material and looked to be intact.

Sadly, one of the jars had cracked in transit. It was leaking slightly, but it hadn’t yet spread throughout the box. We contacted Yo Pitts! via email, and they straightened it out right away, rushing a replacement item to us. They were very helpful and getting the situation fixed was no hassle, so they get high marks on customer service.

Our replacement pack arrived within the week.

They included a card assuring us of their commitment to make everything right with our order. They even included a mystery extra to make up for it!

Only one of our jars was damaged, but they were kind enough to send a replacement jar of each kind of mustard. Awesome! They took absolutely no chances with this pair, wrapping them very well.

They also sent this nice magnet so we’ll remember to try all their great stuff!

I love these big fridge magnets — they lay flat and are great for securing notes and kids’ artwork, etc.

This is the brief welcome pack that came with our original box.

On the back of the card was an easy recipe for making chicken tenders with their Habanero Mustard.

Everything in my box! The subscription is available in 3, 5, and 7 item versions. We got the 3 item version to try out.

Yo Pitts Foods Hot Ketchup ($7.50) Made with all natural ingredients, this ketchup is ideal for adding an extra kick of spiciness to your hotdogs, hamburgers, and sandwiches!

It contains ghost pepper, which is known for being extremely hot and spicy. It is very thick, too, so it stays put when applied to your food. That surprised me a bit, since ghost pepper products are normally thinned out a lot — this one has a nice ketchup base, though, so it could be kept thick without being deathly hot. It does pack a good punch, and the viscous texture is great for dipping.

We tried this and, as expected, the spiciness quickly spread all throughout my mouth. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves their snacks and meals smokin’ hot! This actually felt like the hottest item, because the pepper took over after the initial taste, with the ketchup fading away. It was very tasty and would make a killer base for a homemade BBQ sauce.

Yo Pitts Foods Cajun Onion Mustard ($6.31) It’s not your ordinary mustard! This is definitely more flavorful because of cajun spices and onion flakes. This was my favorite product in the box, as it had the most nuance in its flavor profile. It was still pretty hot, but the Cajun spices really come through and have a lasting presence that doesn’t get drowned out by the heat. I use it as a sandwich mustard all the time, and it provides a nice bit of heat and a medley of flavor — it’s like having a fully dressed sandwich without having to actually chop peppers, onions, pickles, etc.

The mustard has a very thick and creamy texture. It is great for dipping fries or hard or soft pretzels in, as it clings well and lets you grab a big glob with every dip (the thickness also gives you enough time to get it into your mouth before it drips off onto your shirt)!

Aside from hotdogs, sandwiches, and grilled food, this mustard would also make an interesting add-in in a stir-fry.

Yo Pitts Foods Habanero Mustard ($6.31) This is the spicier and more pepper-centric version of Yo Pitts mustard. The flavor is more straightforward and hot than the Cajun version, but the mustard still comes through as a great base flavor for the spice.

This mustard is the perfect consistency for dipping fries or hunks of grilled meat. I think it would be superb as a wing sauce, just thinned with some melted butter. Yum!

It’s ideal for adding to appetizers with charcuterie and cheese, or even with grilled fish and steak!

Yum! I feel satisfied because all 3 condiments don’t just taste great, they’re guilt-free too because they’re made using all natural ingredients. Lather it on!

Eating burgers, fries, and other snacks will never be the same again! I love the approachable nature of the condiments — no single-purpose exotic sauces, just great versions of versatile classics.

Yo Pitts made a good impression with this box! Tons of flavor and assertive but not insane heat. Whether you love to cook, to eat, or to entertain guests, this subscription is something worth trying. If you’re a big family, you can even choose to get as much as 7 condiments per quarter, but, if you’re more casual with your spice, the 3-pack version packs enough heat to put a smile on anyone’s face!
