There’s a card containing some information about each tea. I find these tidbits of information so much fun, who knows when Jeopardy will have a tea category.

Reusable Fabric Tea Bags. I’ve used conventional tea bags, paper fill bags, tea infusers and now fabric bags. I have to say that these fabric bags are awesome, very little sediment in my cup! I’ve been hand washing them with each use and they seem to be holding up very well.

Russian Caravan Organic. This is a classic smokey blend that combines teas from India and China.

This tea was a bit strong for me, but the pamphlet suggests adding some milk to cut the campfire smoke out of your cup. This was my least favorite tea in the box but I have a serious dislike of smoky flavor.

#3 Ti Kwan Yin Oolong. This is a little less bold than the last oolong but still has a great sweet hint of nuttiness.

I love my tea pipping hot, almost too hot to enjoy, but this tea changes flavor as it cools. It’s always interesting to see how a great tea can evolve and I think it is best about room temperature.

Lychee Green. Lychee, a soapberry, is a fruit native to China that looks a bit like a strawberry before you peel off the skin. This is a little bit more fruity than the other selections this month, making it my favorite.

Green tea and fruit are right up my alley, they are a wonderful combination. Now, Simple Loose Leaf claims this is a bit of an experiment and I think it was a wonderful successful experiment. The lychee is just enough present that it doesn’t overpower the tea or understate the fruit, it’s great either hot or cold. I hope this is something we can get again!

Winter’s Elixir. No caffeine makes for a very sad reviewer. This tea reminds me of a potpourri more so than a drink. I loved the mint and eucalyptus scents but the ginger taste was not for me.

It’s such a pretty mix of orange peel and leaves, but I don’t like ginger. I did enjoy the smell of this combination and would like to make a drawer satchel out of it to make my socks smell amazing.

Simple Loose Leaf Tea is a great way to try many different teas without splurging on something you might dislike. I love that there is little filler and everything is neatly packed. The more I use loose leaf tea the more I like them, they have a much better flavor than ordinary tea bags found in the grocery store. I am having so much fun tasting teas and knowing that they help folks with developmental disabilities gain employment. I really hope that next month brings more fruity teas to my door.
