BONUS: Birchbox Eyelash Curler!
Everyone needs a good eyelash curler. This one has comfortable handles that don’t slip, while its curler fits most eye shapes. Since I get 2 Birchboxes a month I gifted the extra – and my gift recipient TOTALLY flipped out about the quality and comfort of this lash curler! (It is really great!).
Matrix Total Results Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Treatment ($2.55) Just a few sprays of this versatile hair styling product was enough to keep my hair shiny and soft. It protects the hair from heat damage caused by hot styling tools, while eliminating frizz and dryness at the same time. It has a pleasant smell too!
Sand & Sky Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask ($11.25) Packed with pink Australian clay, this mask helps in drawing out impurities and pollutants from the skin. The formula gives the skin a slight tingling sensation, but nothing too bothersome to handle. It tightens the pores and leaves the skin smoother too. Other ingredients are organic liquorice, old man’s weed, organic aloe vera, pomegranate, kakadu plum and kelp, and organic mangosteen.
Pure Marula Facial Oil ($7.85) I’m impressed by how lightweight and fast-absorbing this facial oil is. It kept my skin plump and hydrated, which is such an important thing during winter. Ingredients include 99% marula oil and 1% essential oil fragrance blend, which are all wild harvested and cold pressed with no added heat or chemicals. Just 3 to 4 drops of this facial oil is enough to keep the skin refreshed after cleansing.
Marcelle Ultimate Volume Nano Mascara ($7.5 – assuming half size) It might be small but this mascara works wonders.
The formula is well-pigmented and long-lasting, while the brush reaches inner corners of the lashes, allowing for easy application even for people with short lashes.
Love Of Color Liquid Shimmer Shadow In Eclipse ($6.25) This is a water-based liquid eye shadow which doesn’t flake or feather.
Birchbox suggests swiping it across the lids and then blend for a long-lasting shimmer and shine. This is actually a full size of this “right size” product.
It goes on smooth and nice! The metallic rose gold shade is also perfect for the season.
Here’s the swatch. It’s shimmery but not over-the-top, and that’s why I really like it.
This is my second Birchbox for the month and I am definitely pleased. There was a nice variation of content, as it included skin care, makeup and even a hair styling product. The bonus lash curler even turned out to be my favorite! I must say this subscription is a great deal for $10 a month, it allows me to try out new-to-me brands and discover amazing products for such a low price.
