BeautyFIX is a monthly subscription box from Dermstore that sends you the latest skin care, hair care, and makeup products for $24.95 a month (or $34.95 for a one-time purchase). They feature full and travel-sized products and promise the box will contain at least $100 worth of items. Everyone receives the same products, although makeup colors or scents may differ, but at least you will know what you’re getting if you decide to purchase the box after you see the contents.

TIP: you can subscribe to BeautyFIX and receive this exact box – it’s usually available all the way through the end of the month!

The theme this month is “Fresh Fall Start,” and all the products are intended to help checking off your back-to-school beauty list.

The product information card gave each item name, what it’s used for, and a coupon code for a shop purchase.

Everything in my box!

Bioderma Sebium Mat Control ($5?)  Goodbye to oily t-zones! This is a shine-control moisturizer which works even for sensitive skin. It keeps the skin hydrated, while also giving it a smooth and matte look. It’s actually lightweight and comfortable to apply. It also works as a makeup primer. The formula is paraben-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic too.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O ($6.90) Micellar water in a travel-friendly bottle! It is enriched with vitamin E which helps in clearing up the skin. Also ideal for double cleansing, especially if you’ve been wearing stubborn makeup all day. I like that it’s fragrance free and oil-free, plus it’s safe for those who have rosacea and hypersensitive skin too.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Blackberry ($1.20) A fruity-floral scent, just right in time for fall!

This fragrance layers lemon, bergamot, blackberry, and cashmere wood, creating a warm and cozy mood.

Manna Kadar Flutter Mascara ($11.60) For instant volumized lashes! The card calls it Flutter mascara and the tube says HD Volumizing. We think it’s the same thing.

It comes with a curvy wand that makes it easier to achieve full and curled lashes. Clump-free too! This was good mascara, so I tried not to hold it against Manna Kadar that they showed up in another box (they’re everywhere!).

Dermalogica PreCleanse Balm (.5 oz) + Cleanser Mitt ($15) This pre-cleanse balm is a totally new product! It helps in removing excess sebum, makeup, and pollutants.  It contains Natural Biolipid Complex and Apricot Kernel Oil. Ideal for normal to dry skin.

Instead of using your hands, you can massage the balm onto your face using the cleanser mitt for deep cleaning and mild exfoliation. It seemed to work best for me to use the mitt to really get in there after applying to my face. Another double-cleansing product!

Hum Nutrition Samples ($10) A 6-day supply of superfood packs!

These are packed with antioxidants and vitamins – not just for boosting energy but also for giving the skin a radiant complexion.

There are three flavors in our kit: Coconut & Pineapple Tropical Infusion, Tahitian Vanilla & Berry Infusion, and Mint Chocolate Chip Infusion.

I was excited about the new HUM Flavor – Pineapple! These can be mixed with either water or milk. Perfect for making healthy smoothies too!

These superfood powders are enriched with organic green superfoods, antioxidants, herbs, fiber, a full serving of fruit and vegetables, digestive enzymes, and five billion probiotics.

FYI – if you’re looking to subscribe to HUM, pretty sure this deal is still working!

Nia 24 Sun Damage Repair for Decolletage and Hands ($60) A body lotion specially formulated to reduce discoloration and age spots. Now that summer is over, this will be useful in getting rid of skin damage caused by staying too long under the sun.

It contains licorice, mulberry, bearberry extracts, and evening primrose root extract. It feels moisturizing on the skin and smells great too with a nice matte finish.

This box had more than $105 in value! Everything is handy and practical, especially the sun damage repair lotion and the mascara. The cleanser balm with a cleaning mitt was pretty interesting too – and I think getting brand new Dermalogica products in this box is amazing (it’s not the first time!). Overall, this is a good way to discover new beauty products and skincare essentials. Value-wise, BeautyFIX doesn’t disappoint!
