This box is really decorated inside and out. While the outside has little food items on it, the inside is full of bright green words. Plastic wrap and brown butcher paper keep all the contents safe.  July’s box weighed a ton, so I knew there were probably several drinks in there!

July’s Degustabox has a summer theme and is filled with light and healthy summertime snacks.

The information sheet gives details for each product and also includes recipes for Maille Dijon Fillet Steak and Merchant Gourmet Refreshing Tabbouleh Salad.

Blossom Hill Spritz With Flavours Of Elderflower & Lemon (£4.99) is a light and bubbly drink with natural fruit flavours and 5.5% abv. I haven’t had an occassion to try this yet (I’d like to take it on a picnic, if the rain ever subsides), but I have tasted similar Blossom Hill products and liked them. They make an ideal girly, summer drink!

Crafted by Cracker Drinks Co Mango and Passion Fruit Juice Drink (£1.80) is part of a new range of juice with no added sugar or sweeteners. This is really tasty juice! It is smooth and fruity with deliciously sweet mango and a hint of tart passion fruit.

Ryvita Thins Three Cheese Flatbreads (£1.89) are slender wheat & rye crackers topped with cheddar, regato and emmental. These are very crisp, flavourful and perfect for snacking either on their own or with a dip.  These don’t taste anything like an original ryvita – less healthy, more moreish!

Rowntree’s Randoms 30% Less Sugar (£1.29) are just like the classic chewy sweets but made with less sugar, and no articial flavours, colours and sweeteners. These are yummy, you won’t miss the extra sugar!

The box includes two little packs of OLOVES Healthy Olive Snacks (£0.99). These are green olives without stones, seasoned with chili, garlic and oregano. I’m not an olive person so these weren’t for me. The seasoning was nice but at the end of the day they still taste like olives. My husband, on the other hand, really liked these and scarfed the whole pack.

Merchant Gourmet Simply Cooked Red & White Quinoa (£1.99) is ready-to-use quinoa dressed with a touch of oil. It’s so simple and inexpensive to cook quinoa from dry that I’ve never seen the value in buying it pre-cooked, however, I really liked this product. The grains were much firmer than when I make it at home, which created a nice chewy texture and really nutty flavour. I combined the quinoa with raw vegetables, feta and vinegar to make a delicious and healthy salad.

Frylight Cooking Spray with Avocado Oil (£2.99) is a cooking spray containing vegetable oil and 30% avocado oils. It is usable for frying, roasting and baking. This is a great product. It worked brilliantly for toasting grilled cheese sandwiches, roasting vegetables and baking chips in the oven.

Weetabix Additions Coconut & Raisin (£2.99) are a lot like normal Weetabix but with a hint of coconut flavour and tiny little pieces of raisins throughout, which add some chewiness and sweetness. I enjoyed the addition of coconut but I’m not so sure about the raisins. Weetabix gets soggy so quickly that you’re left chewing on just little bits of raisins after every bite. There’s a reason why raisins are usually found in more substantial cereals like bran flakes! These were fine but I still prefer normal Weetabix.

The box contains ‘The Brekkie Times’, a The Collective yoghurt newsletter with a 100% voucher for a Collective Kids Big Tub Yoghurt (£2.00). This yoghurt is made with kids palates in mind using whole milk, fruit and no bits or pips.

I haven’t managed to find this particular range of yoghurts in shops yet, and so I haven’t been able to try it. As I’ve mentioned in my previous reviews, I’m a massive fan of The Collective yoghurt in general, so if you have kids I’d say this product is definitely worth a try! As a bonus, there are also two vouchers for free Pro-Uo grab ‘n’ go high protein yoghurt pouches.

Maille Dijon Original (£1.99) is a gourment quality smooth dijon. This is a really nice and flavourful mustard.

My box also came with two bottles of Thor Dry Apple Spritz (price not specified). These are sparkling beverages made with natural flavours and only 69 calories per bottle. I absolutely loved these! The mint flavour tastes exactly like fresh mint with a slight sweetness of apple and a light fizz. If I closed my eyes, I would have though there was a fresh sprig of mint in the bottle! The ginger flavour is also lovely – light and refreshing but with a warmth and spice from the ginger.

The contents of July’s Degustabox didn’t really excite me at first sight, but I did end up liking all the products, and everything was top quality.  My favourite item was probably the mint Thor beverage, which I will definitely be looking for in stores.
