We love how nerdy & steeped in history & culture the process of tasting & experiencing matcha is. The science behind its intense umami, the affect of terroir on taste, the nuances & notes one experiences while tasting really great matcha.
In the August Food Box, you will get to experience an exquisite koicha-grade matcha from Fukuoka in Japan, that was not previously available outside the Japanese domestic market. Carefully selected by Zack Mangan of Kettl, the matcha will be ordered fresh from a farm in Japan, packed into oxygen-free packaging and air-shipped to ensure absolute freshness.
