WOW Box is a Japanese candy subscription coming right from Japan! For only $24.99 (Regular) or $34.99 (Large) a month, you can enjoy Japanese sweets and snacks delivered to your door every month. WOW Box did some restructuring of the subscription model last year; my last review was in August and was of their New & Limited box. The box that I received for this review is the Kawaii & Beauty box – a box featuring cute characters as well as calorie-wise and health conscious snacks as well. WOW Box no longer sends out printed information cards, but product information is available on their website.
Saya Pea Snacks — One of my absolute favourite snacks! These are available in North America as well and they’re super addicting! Snap peas are baked until they puff up into light and crunch snacks.
Pikachu Corn Potage Snacks — My last WOW Box had these same snacks. They really do taste like corn!
Kiwi Gelee and Yogurt Gummies — Japan does great gummies bursting with flavour. I don’t really like kiwi but these are great for summer.
Berry and Rose Candies — A mixture of rose and berry candies which are said to enhance health and beauty. These are distributed by Kracie, who make beauty products like shampoo, etc. (I use their Ichikami hair products, just to give you an idea.)
Lime and Bergamot Candies — Bursting with citrus, they are individually wrapped and great for sharing! (I took mine to work with me.)
Caplico no Atama — Caplico now has small versions of their aerated chocolate snacks. These are the hit at work, everyone fought to try one. They got a bit melty because of the heat but were still great.
Peel and Herb Lime Drink — I wasn’t a huge fan of this as I tasted more veggies than fruit. I think if you like veggie drinks this would be great!
Yuzu Bath Treats — A bright bag filled with summery bath treats!
Bath salts, a bath tablet, a bath bead (filled with bath oil) and a mini bath bomb. I think the packaging is adorable and everything is perfect for summer. Yuzu is a delicious citrus fruit and is very refreshing!
We had a great time sampling the WOW Box at work — there was a nice mix of treats and I love the bath goodies. The item count in the Kawaii and Beauty isn’t as high as in other boxes but the focus on healthier snacks, cute packaging, and an extra non-food item makes it a nice change.
