The GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box is a subscription that sends 4-5 handcrafted products from around the world. All items are produced either by collectives that are fair trade certified or that respect and adhere to fair trade principles. All artisans and farmers whose products are distributed by Globe In are paid a fair wage for their products.

Subscriptions cost $40 per month, but the price can go as low as $35 with a longer subscription. For those who would prefer to receive one handmade product each month, GlobeIn also operates the GlobeIn Club which costs $10 each month.

GlobeIn is committed to empowering artisans around the world. With each shipment, you’ll get to learn about the artisans and communities your purchase has helped to support.

DEAL: Save $10 on a 3-month subscription with coupon code WELCOME.

The theme for this box is LUNCH. Artisan Box subscribers have a selection of themes from which to choose. This way, artisans will be able to meet GlobeIn’s needs while also having longer, steady work as they continue to produce items for the Artisan Box.

Along with all of the lovely items in the box, the Artisan Box includes a booklet that gives details about each of the artists responsible for the items in the box.

Everything in my box!

GlobeIn Greeting Card ($3) This month’s flat card is cute to hang on the fridge.

There was also an offer for MATTER, a socially motivated brand that partners with artisans to craft handmade prints for clothing.

Light My Fire Spork Original – Sweden ($3) We love these and have a whole set. Funny enough my daughter landed on one of these on the floor and snapped it (they’re durable, but will break if you step on it with a shoe) the same day we received this box. We were thrilled to get this replacement- can’t live without these Sporks! And not just any spork – these are multifunctional and even cut (but not your mouth).

The information card mentions Light My Fire’s “flagship” product as their original fire starter stick, which is sourced in Guatemala and assists in replanting. I would absolutely argue that this iconic spork version is their actual flagship product. You can check out lots of different version on Amazon. I’ve never sprung for the stainless version – until yesterday we’ve never had one break!

Upcycled Lunch Bag – Kenya ($16) This lunchbag is repurposed from sturdy cement bags!

It’s about 8″ x 12″.

The Kenyan artisan Epina Wakio was inspired to reuse the non0biodegradable polyester cement bags because if they’re left lying out they prevent new plant growth. Their sturdiness makes them perfect as a lunch sack!

Eco Lunch Box Handmade Cloth Napkin – India ($6) This reusable napkin is perfect for toting with your lunch!

It’s about 12.5″ x 17″ and is hand-printed and dyed using traditional Indian textile techniques.

This napkin is crafted by the same company as the next item.

Eco Lunch Box Tri Bento Lunch Box – India  ($30) This mini tiffin is non-toxic stainless steel.

This 3-level set is perfect for carrying a multi-course meal, or breakfast, lunch, and snack. We have this exact item already and it’s held up beautifully!

Eco Lunchbox estimates that their reusable lunch items have prevented tens of millions of pieces of trash from piling up each and every year.

What a lovely and useful set! This box has about $58 in retail value and is packed with really useful items I’ll use for my lunch every day. I particularly like the lunch sack – it’s a great size for carrying all my goodies back and forth!
