Loot Crate Firefly Cargo Crate comes every other month and each box has a theme to a character from the show/movie. The theme this month is Shepherd Book. I squeal a bit each time this box is in the mail. I love it every time and it really makes me want to watch the show again when I open it. I need to pull out my DVDs and give it a whirl here this week.

First look into my box.  There isn’t much packing to these box with the flat paper items on the bottom to keep them a little safer from wrinkling and the rest of the products just sitting on top.

Everything in my Shepherd Book crate this month.

The Firefly crate does not just send an info card but they send a whole mini magazine called You Can’t Stop the Signal. It gives information on the items in the crate and other behind the scenes stories and interviews.

The Signal starts with a nice note from Loot Crate.

The info pages in the magazine.

Shepherd Book Little Damn Heroes Mini Master – Shepherd looks very stoic in his mini master and that was his character on the ship. He was the preacher and a man who would sand his ground but was very centered and soft spoken. I love the all-knowing look in his eyes here. They are so full of knowledge and I think it really comes out.

Zoe Q-Bit Mystery Mini – In the boxes this month, you could get either Zoe or Badger. I’m very happy with my Zoe but I would have loved Badger too. I love Mark Sheppard and watching him now on Supernatural but he has really been on so many shows and he was great as the swarmy Badger. However, I will never complain with getting a kick ass fighter and Zoe is all that and more.

“Enjoy” Replica Jayne T-shirt – This is a nice and simple shirt to be included this month. Shepherd and Jayne and a great friendship and Firefly crate wanted to represent that in the box.

Firefly Commemorative Pocket Watch – What a fun and unique item. My brother who also loves Firefly is more of a pocketwatch guy then I am so I’m going pass this on to him. He will love it and I’ll be happy it’s getting used.

Southdown Abbey Travel Sticker – Each month we get a sticker for a location to go along with out theme. I’ve got a collection of them now and I need to decide a good use for them. I’m thinking I want to decorate something with them but I haven’t decided what yet.

Atlas of the ‘Verse Flash Card – Haven is where Book has set up once he is off of the Serenity and the crew goes there for some shelter and provisions.

“Going to that Special Hell” pin – Another item that comes in each crate is a pin. This is a huge pin and I know a couple people I could give this one to.

Dark Horse Serenity: A Shepherd’s Tale Graphic Novel – I love a good origin story and this tells the story of how Shepherd Book went from soldier to Shepherd. It is written by Joss & Zack Whedon with art by Chris Samnee. The graphics are phenomenal and while I’m not a huge comic reader I’m going to go through this one and then see if my son can read it. He was already looking at it over my shoulder and asked when I was giving it to him. I need to start him early with his Firefly love.

Another outstanding Loot Crate Firefly Cargo Crate. I love getting my figures each month and they are looking great on my newly painted office wall shelf. The detail and curation of the box is always spot on and so well thought out. This one was a bit bitter sweet with the passing of Ron Glass last year and getting to celebrate him this month but he was such a big part of the show it was very needed. I get the biggest smile every time I see this box come in my house and I can’t wait for the next one already.

The theme for the next crate has already been announced: River Tam.
