Target has just launched a brand new subscription box, the Target Art & Craft Kit! This is a monthly art & craft subscription for kids ages 4-10. You’ll receive a different crafting activity each month. Currently, this subscription is out of stock.

TIPS: Use your Target Red Card for free shipping (otherwise $2). Plus, be sure to subscribe to the kit for an additional 5% off!

Everything in my box!

Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencil Art ($12.99)  This kit includes 10 Watercolor Pencils with a clear zipper pouch, 24-page Watercolor Paper Pad, 20-page Instruction Booklet, Pencil Sharpener and Paintbrush.

The included booklet walks your child through different techniques and how to achieve certain looks with watercolor pencils, even noting which colors in the set to use.

Faber-Castell Watercolor Sketchbook: The Watercolor sketchbook is necessary, of course! The pages are bound on the edges only and are easily removable.

Faber-Castell Do Art Pouch & Pencil set: 10 beautiful pencils, plus a plastic zipper pouch to hold them all.

Pencil Sharpener

Faber-Castell Brush

My daughter, now 8, has used these exact products to create some really beautiful pieces – you just draw with the pencils and then “paint” with the water over them!

With a $12.99 value for a $14.99 subscription, this set was a little disappointing – they could have added an extra set of paper to bring the value up. Plus, I didn’t think this set was well suited for the entire 4 to 10-year-old age range.  We’ll continue subscribing to keep an eye on how this subscription (hopefully) evolves.

Did you grab a Target Art & Craft Kit this month? Let me know what you thought!

I’m sure my 5 year could still have some fun with this but overall it seems a little advanced for her age group, especially the booklet. If this is the continuing trend then maybe it would be best to do a 4-6 box and and 7-10 one.

They just need to start a home goods box and everyone would be thrilled lol. I hand over 1/3 of my paychecks to Target every month anyway.

I know, they have so much cute stuff. They could highlight their seasonal collections and all that. Think – Nate Berkus box! I thought they were going to do something awesome when they skipped doing the Popsugar box.
