Fresh Fiction Box Not To Miss is a monthly book subscription that sends 5-7 books for $25.95. Shipping is free to the U.S. but they also ship worldwide. You can choose from a 1, 3, or 12-month plan and all plans auto renew. Alternatively, you can also buy a one-time box from their online shop. They send 2-3 new release print books, codes for 2-3 downloadable ebooks, a collectible item, and a sweet treat! Most of the books will be from the romance genre but they may occasionally send mystery, erotica, YA, and paranormal books too.

On top, there was a collectible postcard featuring the Fresh Fiction foxy mascot, Vixen.

DEAL: Save $3 on your first Fresh Fiction Not To Miss box with coupon code HELLO.

I received 4 paperbacks, 1 hardback, codes for 3 ebooks, a postcard, and a pin. This month Fresh Fiction sent at least 4 out of 14 possible books so keep in mind that if you subscribe your box may have different selections than the ones I received. Everyone received the same 3 ebooks.

This is the flip side of the postcard. “The best Valentine gift is a new book.” I would have also accepted chocolate. I received a collectible pin (shown below) but the usual sweet treat was missing.

First up are 3 downloadable ebooks:

Catch and Release by Laura Drewry $3.99 for Kindle

Waiting for a Girl Like You by Gina Conkle 99¢ for Kindle

15 Minutes by Larissa Reinhart $2.99 for Kindle

Now, on to the hard copies!

Note: I placed the list price first and then gave the current selling price from Amazon.com.

Unpunished by Lisa Black ($25 $19.75) The first book up is a mystery thriller and Book 2 in the Gardiner and Renner series.

Maggie Gardiner, a forensic expert who studies the dead, and Jack Renner, a homicide cop who stalks the living, form an uneasy partnership to solve a series of murders in this powerful new thriller by the bestselling author of That Darkness.

It begins with the kind of bizarre death that makes headlines—literally. A copy editor at the Cleveland Herald is found hanging above the grinding wheels of the newspaper assembly line, a wide strap wrapped around his throat. Forensic investigator Maggie Gardiner has her suspicions about this apparent suicide inside the tsunami of tensions that is the news industry today—and when the evidence suggests murder, Maggie has no choice but to place her trust in the one person she doesn’t trust at all . . .

Jack Renner is a killer with a conscience, a vigilante with his own code of honor. In the past, Jack has used his skills and connections as a homicide detective to take the law into his own hands, all in the name of justice. He has only one problem: Maggie knows his secret. She insists he enforce the law, not subvert it. But when more newspaper employees are slain, Jack may be the only person who can help Maggie unmask the killer– even if Jack is still checking names off his own private murder list.

Strawberry Wine by Darly Jamison ($4.99) is a contemporary romance about first love and first love lost, and then a rekindling of the flame when you least expect it.

How do you know if a first love is made to last?

Addison Monroe was eighteen when she fell for Jake Grady, a college student working on her family’s farm for the summer. With his sapphire eyes and killer smile, Jake could have had any girl in Lakeside, Georgia. But he wanted Addy, and for those brief, wonderful months—before circumstances drove them irrevocably apart—they belonged to each other.

Ten years later, Addy is engaged to a doctor and working in Atlanta as a physician’s assistant. Life feels full and satisfying. Yet memories of that long-ago summer and wine-flavored kisses are hard to shake. On a return visit to Lakeside, Addy crosses paths with Jake again, and soon finds herself at an unexpected crossroads. So much has changed, and Addy has chosen another route. And the magic of first love can never be rekindled…can it?

Under Her Skin by Adriana Anders ($7.99 advance reader copy) Sometimes Fresh Fiction sends out advance reader copies, which are not for resale and may have printing errors so I won’t include the value in my total. They are still great books though, and help to create buzz and reviews before a book is officially available to the public.

Battered by a life determined to tear him down
This quiet ex-con’s scarred hands may be the gentlest touch she’ll ever know.
…if only life were a fairy tale where Beauty was allowed to keep her Beast

Ivan thought the world was through giving him second chances. Who’d want a rough ex-con with a savior complex and a bad habit of bringing home helpless strays? Everyone in Blackwood, Virginia knew he wasn’t good enough for the fine things in life; they knew he was too damaged to save. He just needed to keep his head down, work himself to the bone, and pretend he was content with the lot he was given.

Until she came into his life. Until she changed everything.

Until he realized he would do anything, fight anyone, tear the world apart if it meant saving her.

The Last Di Sione Claims His Prize by Maisey Yates ($5.25 $4.36) was my monthly Harlequin, and, with the exception of the title, was a quick and easy read.

“I want that painting. It is my last Lost Mistress. My Lost Love.”

Alessandro Di Sione is renowned for being cold and unsentimental, but even he can’t deny his grandfather’s dream of retrieving a painting steeped in royal scandal. Yet the key to its return is the outspoken Princess Gabriella.

While traveling together to Isola D’Oro to locate the mysterious painting, Gabby is drawn to the man tortured by guilt from his past. Her innocence makes her untouchable, as Alex is convinced his Di Sione blood is tainted. But could their passion be his salvation?

Wicked Cowboy Charm by Carolyn Brown ($7.99 $6.29) is the fourth in a series so if you like this cowboy tale then there are three more for you to choose from!

ONE BLIZZARD, ONE BUNKHOUSE,

AND A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE . . .

Josie Dawson is new in town, but it doesn’t take a local to know that Deke Sullivan is trouble–in a smokin’ hot package. He’s sweet, sexy, and has charmed just about every woman in Dry Creek, Texas. Well, Josie won’t be next. She’ll keep her distance, even if he is great with babies and makes a mean cup of homemade hot chocolate.

Deke Sullivan really is a one-woman type of guy. He just had to do a lot of looking to find that one woman. Now he thinks he’s found her and he won’t let a strong, sassy gal like Josie slip away. Just when he’s wondering how to convince her he only has eyes for her, they get stranded in a tiny cabin during a major blizzard. If Deke can melt her heart before they dig out of the snow, he’ll be the luckiest cowboy in Texas . . .

I always look forward to getting my Fresh Fiction Box – every month I am surprised by the quality and value I get for the subscription price! My February box was worth $43.36 not including the advance reader copy and these books were recently published, so they are indeed fresh! I have a bunch of different books to choose from, although I was a bit disappointed to not find a historical romance, since those are my favorite!
