For 2016 Target offered the 12 Days of Beauty Faves 2016 Advent Calendar! This calendar was originally available for $25, and is now marked down to $12.49.

TIP: Use the coupon from your Target Beauty Box to save an extra $3.

Just like any other advent calendar, each door opens to reveal a daily product! Inside each flap was a short tip or explanation for the use of the product.

NYX Xtreme Lip Cream ($6.34) A pinky nude that is great for a variety of skintones. This lip product is creamy, but not particularly glossy or matte. It’s right in the middle!

EcoTools Angled Kabuki Brush (about $4) This was a unique buki brush, it’s flattened into an oval, making it super easy to hold.

Sinful Colors Polish ($1.99) This was super pretty, and calendars had a variety of colors. Mine was red and gold glitter in a pink jelly base. I layered it on top of some polish I already had on, because I couldn’t resist immediately using it!

Nexxus Comb Thru Finishing Mist ($1.41) AKA hairspray! (It took me a while to figure out what it was for, and then I realized it was just a fancy term for hair spray). This one’s great for when you expect someone to be touching your hair! Or want them to!

Me! Bath Soap Bomb ($1.70) One little teeny weeny bath bomb, perfect for a quick dip when you don’t want to use that giant bomb you’ve been hoarding.

This scent was relaxing and it didn’t use artificial preservatives.

Pacifica Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash ($1) Whoops, wrong hole! This definitely had a greens scent, was fun to use, and I love Pacifica!

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm ($2.49) Lips are so dry during the winter so a good solid protective balm is always in order. This is a must-have item for lips.  I’m not a big fan of anything minty on my lips, but my kids swiped it anyways.

Mayfair Soap Foundry Body Crème in Sea Lily Jasmine ($1.63) Here’s the Mayfair. It’s pretty strongly scented, and smells a little like soap (or lots of soap is scented like sea lily jasmine).  But it does say Soap Foundry. It was a nice rich pick for an advent calendar, and interesting to try out a new brand!

Pixi by Petra Glow Tonic ($1.75)  I love how this toner simultaneously soothes and exfoliates!

Acure Day Cream Gotu Kola Stem Cell + CGF ($9.70) This is over half-size of a pricey product, and a total win for this calendar! It has a fresh clean scent, is packed with antioxidants, and is a wonderful day cream. Hooray!

Umberto Dry Lifting Powder ($10.79) This product is so weird – it does really add height and texture, but it’s a sift-on powder, and sticky to boot. You wouldn’t think it works, but it does, and it’s a must try. This is a full-size product, too!

Laneige Sleeping Mask ($5.14) Amusingly, the calendar ends with a Laneige Sleeping Mask – just apply this on right after your normal regimen or even when you get in bed (I do actually keep a sleeping mask on my bedside table). It really helps with additional hydration!

The total value of this box was around $48! This was good for a $25 calendar but also amazing for $12.50! It’s a great pick-me-up to start the New Year!
