Fit Snack is a monthly subscription box delivering healthy nutritious snacks directly to your door. Every month expect 7-10 full size items plus samples of delicious and healthy snack foods.

Fit Snack curates its boxes according to the following criteria:

  • Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO Free, high in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
  • Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
  • Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.

Let’s see what fun snacks October brought to my house!

The front of the information card tells you a little bit about each of the products in the box (and coupon codes for most… also, the box included a few paper coupons for some of the products). There were also a few bonus products in the box, not listed on the information card.

The back of the information card features workouts (and a weekly workout plan) — this month is “Fit Snack Boot Camp.”

Cultures for Health Kombucha Starter: I’ll be honest – I don’t like kombucha. I want to like it. I’ve tried it a number of times because I know that it is good for me… but I just haven’t acquired the taste for it. However, if I did drink kombucha, this is a great product. The package includes SCOBY (a starter culture) that you mix with tea and sugar – super easy and the culture is reusable.

Miracle Tree Tea: A full box (25 tea bags) of moringa chocolate flavored tea. YUM! Moringa has been called a super food, rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. More importantly, however, is the flavor. I’ve never had a chocolate tea before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Now that I’ve tried this, I really enjoyed it and think that all things should come in chocolate. (OK, I probably thought that before – I’m kind of a chocoholic – but chocolate tea is something new and fun!)

Tera’s Recovery Blend Protein Drink Mix: I am a fan of Tera’s whey protein mixes, so I was excited to see these two sample packets of recovery blend protein. In addition to whey protein, these are made with coconut water to aid rehydration post workout. One package was vanilla, one was chocolate, and they were both very tasty – the coconut water added a slight flavor, but nothing overwhelming. I’m definitely planning on buying some of this mix for post-workout smoothies.

RW Garcia MixtBag Tortilla Chips: Mixt Chips combine a blend of blue corn and yellow corn chips in one bag. FitSnack has included RW Garcia products before and I have always liked them… very tasty gluten-free, all natural snacks. These Mixt Chips did not disappoint. Yummy tortilla chips!

Shine Organics Pouch: There is such a thing as too much of a good thing… and Shine Organics is, in my opinion, guilty of this. I like the various ingredients in their Shine Organics pouches… but I just can’t get through the symphony of flavors when they mix everything and the kitchen sink into one pouch. This one was a little more enjoyable than last month’s that had even more flavors included, but I still think that sometimes less is more when it comes to flavors. That said, it’s a great travel snack with lots of healthy good stuff inside – and certainly, preferred tastes differ… so other people would like this more than I did.

Tessemae’s Organic Dressings: Included this month were two dressing pouches from Tessemae’s. I’m a big fan of Tessemae’s dressings – in fact, I have a bottle of the sesame ginger in my fridge at the moment, so I was happy to see these items. I plan on tossing them in my purse for when I eat salads out, so I know that I have a dressing that is all natural, organic, and yummy.

Apple Harvest Crunch Dried Fruit: Bonus item (not listed on the information card) #1… crunch dried apples. I love dried apples and I love that these are made of apples and only apples. That’s it. Yum!

Barney Butter Almond Butter: Bonus item #2… I love almond butter, and I love using it as a snack, so I was happy to try out this pouch of almond butter from Barney Butter. I usually prefer my nut butter to be crunchy, but this smooth butter has a great taste and travels well.

Fruit Chia Strawberry Blast Bar:  Bonus item #3… a fruit bar made with fruit & chia. That’s pretty much it. Yum! This bar had a very nice strawberry flavor and a good texture. I could definitely see eating bars like this more often.

Other than the kombucha, I really enjoyed most everything in this month’s Fit Snack box. The variety is great – and I like that I learned about some new products, but also got some products that I already knew I’d love. And, of course, the products I don’t love are still nice healthy snacks – just not to my personal taste.  I would recommend FitSnack boxes to anyone who wants to try out new, healthy snacks!
