I arrived home and noticed there was a box waiting for me. I was pretty anxious to see what Marvel had in store for me with the Doctor Strange edition of the Marvel Collector Corps subscription box.

Marvel Collector Corps is a bi-monthly subscription from Marvel Comics and Funko. Boxes are $25 plus shipping and there are no coupons. The box promises $50 in value every box, plus every single item is a 100% exclusive item. Past items have included vinyl collectibles, home items, accessories, and apparel.

Every month has included a comic and the exclusive patch and pin.

A Doctor Strange patch and pin are included and are the first things you see when you open the box.

287
I like the the pose given to the Sorcerer Supreme for this patch.

289
The pin is the Eye of Agamotto. Rumor has it, this contains an Infinity Stone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  This item looks wonderful as well.

The inside of the box has some cool artwork!

244
Doctor Strange has a movie coming up in November so this box comes at a fantastic time. I was never one that read a lot of Doctor Strange comic books but I always enjoyed when he would cameo in the comics I was reading. It always meant serious business!

251

Plenty of Doctor Strange items for the collectors out there.

278

Funko has now started inserting information cards that detail the creation of each item. These are really cool – but sometimes they don’t pack one in the box. I was lucky this month and scored one!

This is really awesome and gives some insight into the Funko creation process as well as why some of the items were selected. There is also a tease for the December 2016 box!

273
Doctor Strange And The Sorcerers Supreme #1 – Variant Cover ($3.99). The Funko Pop version of Doctor Strange graces the cover of this comic book. I like that this is actually the comic book from this month of the series.

293
Funko Pop! Marvel Doctor Strange Levitating Astral Plane Figure ($30.95). This figure is exclusive to the box, therefore estimating price is really based on the current market at conventions or eBay.

298
This is a fantastic addition to any POP! collection. The detail looks great and the color looks amazing.

POP! Marvel Doctor Strange Ceramic Mug ($14 on eBay). I guess in a novelty sort of way, this mug is kind of cool.  It isn’t really made for drinking so I guess it could be a decent candy bowl as it’s pretty big.

[Editor’s Note: I love using mine as ramen bowls – there’s something delightful about eating noodles out of my favorite characters’ heads!]

Doctor Strange Funko T-Shirt. I like the Funko POP! vinyl collectibles as much as the next person but I am getting a bit tired of them on the t-shirts.

Marvel Collector Corps was okay this month. I was hoping for some more fun or usable items and a cooler looking t-shirt.  Don’t get me wrong, this is one of the best values you can find within the world of subscription boxes. I just hope the X-Men are treated better.
