Glowing Beets is a monthly natural beauty subscription box. In each box, you’ll receive 3-4 deluxe-sized samples or full-size beauty products made with natural ingredients and no harmful chemicals or toxic stuff. You’ll be able to test out the scent, texture, and performance of high-end natural beauty products before committing to full size. This subscription is $29.95 a month plus $5.99 for shipping

My items were shipped in a brown cardboard box and had shredded paper for cushioning. The product info card and a business card with a discount code were on top.

The two-sided information card gave details of each item along with the retail value.

I received 4 items in the August box!

At first glance, I thought this was a Lush product but it was a lookalike. Midas Body Lotion from Sudsatorium  ($10.94) has a soft, golden glimmer from edible gold lustre, the same type bakers use on cakes! It has a soft citrus scent that stuck around for a bit and made me smile as I got ready for work, plus, no one accused me of being a vampire à la Edward Cullen.

The Classic Chain Convertible Pony from Knotty ($12) is going to my daughter because it is cute and yet kind of classic and I know she will love it. It can be worn in the hair or as a bracelet and certainly looks prettier than a black hair band.

I had a hard time figuring out how to use Apoterra Hibiscus Exfoliating Mud ($24) but once I did I liked the results. The directions say to gently rub a dime-sized amount over the face but it was compacted and instantly fell into the sink. I then premixed a bit with some water and then applied to my skin and massaged it around before rinsing. The downside is that my washcloth is stained so please don’t make the mistake of using a brand new white washcloth like someone I know. Made with honey, hibiscus, and oats.

This is really dense but I loved the way it left my face feeling soft, naturally.

I love to try natural makeup products and Hynt Beauty ALTO Matte Powder Blush in Notoriously Nude ($28) is the perfect blend of warm and cool tones. I am so happy to receive a shimmerless blush in a subscription box and this one blended well and looked natural. It’s buildable too so you can achieve the look you desire and is titanium dioxide free, vegan, and PETA approved.

Here is the blush swatched on my inner arm. This is two swipes.

I LOVED my very first Glowing Beets Box! The hair band/bracelet wasn’t my thing but the other items were perfect for me! The August box had a value of $75! All the brands are new to me and I look forward to trying other items from these companies in the future. The products were spread out over different beauty/skin care categories and I enjoyed the variety.
